Picked up a One XL yesterday, very happy with it so far. Very nice screen, 4G data speeds, and ICS \^-^/
QUOTE At the moment my iPhone pushes data to and from my Gmail account (email, calendar and contacts). Is that doable on android? I know that there is a gmail app you can use but that is only IMAP I am pretty sure (at least it was when I had an android phone like 2 years ago). As long as it can do that, and the new iPhone isn't CRAZY INSANE OMFG, then I will get the S3 I would assume the SGSIII does push, because the One XL can, I was given the option when setting up my gmail. Dunno if it's specific to gmail accounts though, it may well push for any sort of account. This post has been edited by Mademan: Jun 8 2012, 04:42 PM |

Thoughts on it? Display is nice, but it's obvious that it's Pentile. Haven't noticed any artifacting or off-whites, but small text (like zoomed out web pages) tends to be pixelated. It's also oversaturated. I'm being picky though since I've come from a 'retina' display. The phone is nice and fluid, which is brilliant. I'm loving the GPU too, I can play GTA3 at maximum settings and its still smooth as silk! Oh, and this thing has a decent light sensor too (which is good for my app). :P Sound quality with headphones is pretty good for a phone (but not surprising given it uses a Wolfson DAC). The rapid shot camera is impressive too, but I haven't had time to really take many pics to judge quality. -------------------- "Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; Small minds discuss people." - Eleanor Roosevelt

theres 4 different options for screen saturation check em out. Similiar to user-movie-standard etc on the tv I tried them all and they all suck. The choices are severely oversaturated, oversaturated, undersaturated, or severely undersaturated. I'm sure someone will fix that now that Samsung released the source. -------------------- "Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; Small minds discuss people." - Eleanor Roosevelt

I've got no issue with the screen saturation. You're just picky. |

I'm can live with it, but that doesn't change the fact that there's no neutral colour profile. Just pointing it out.

Yeah I am eyeing off the SG3 myself, and would love to hear more on it.
I am coming from an Iphone 3gs and would like to try something other than Iphones. -------------------- "The problem with quotes from the internet is that you can not be sure of their authenticity" - Abraham Lincoln

Someone I know has come across from Nokia and they are loving the Galaxy S3. You say you want to know more, but what do you actually want to know? Me being on Android for 2 years now and my 3rd phone, 4th Android device am rather used to it. So I'm not sure what to tell you about the phone, without knowing what you look for in a phone. I can say though it's well worth getting. ALTHOUGH if you are interested in the Playstation games that are available HTC have been/getting certified from Sony for this and so the One X will have access to Playstation games. |

Meh to the Playstation games, the SGSIII is powerful enough to run a PS1 emulator just fine.
If you guys are interested in battery stats, here's mine. In summary, 22h 30m battery time, with over 6h screen-on time (with moderate usage, low brightness level). -------------------- "Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; Small minds discuss people." - Eleanor Roosevelt

I've gotten 17hours 40min at 5% battery with high brightness and using the phone as mp3 player for 3 hours and having data always on checking twitter. |

Has anyone ever had a problem moving from an iPhone to an Android device in relation to iMessages? Where iPhones still think that you are on an iPhone when you really aren't?

I'm still using an iPhone 4 I got on launch day. It's still a fantastic phone, and nothing I've seen so far has made me want to upgrade.
If I do, it'll probably just be the next announced iPhone, whenever that happens. -------------------- PC: Intel i5 2500K @4.5GHz | 8GB Corsair Vengeance LP RAM | 2x MSI GTX560 Ti Hawk in SLI | MSI P67A-GD65 | 120GB Intel 520 SSD+3TB of HDDs | Silverstone Fortress FT-02 | Dell U2711 + Dell U2311H
