OK so I am about to lash out on a 3770K rig but need a cooler to do basic air overclocking. Not interesting in water cooling, just want something better than the stock cooler and fan that'll give me a decent speed bump.
Mobo will most probably be the Gigabyte UDH3 with GSkill Trident RAM. All inside a Silverstone Fortress FT02B. -------------------- #codemastersnetcodeisshit

Thanks. Ive been researching the Noctua, its coming up pretty good. Compatible with all my crap too, only issue is the ram, had to change to the z series instead of the trident.
Looks like that will be the go unless someone has a better idea? -------------------- #codemastersnetcodeisshit

cant beat the d14 i reckon for the price.
just be careful with that ram as its heatsinks may require you to raise the fan on the d14 intake side a little. since you only have 5mm to spare with the case depth perhaps some low profile RAM like ARES may be a better option for piece of mind. -------------------- Q9550 @4.25 w/cooled || Gigabyte P45 UD3-P || 8 gb DDRII ||GTX 480 w/cooled || Lots of HD's, Patriot Inferno SSD || LG W2242T ||
