So i decided to install newer drivers, updated my MB Bios and try some new things out. I put the PC in a power saving mode (why didnt i do this b4?) and decided to try out the option to replace the load up screen pic with one of my own. After a restart it was set but didnt like the pic so changed it. then restarted again and upon load up i think there was a spark noise from the pc and a static crack to go with it through the speakers. Then the screen is flashing all the colors of the rainbow 1 at a time. (oh shit! there goes my MB?... wtf?) So i held the button down to power off then restart it again. and its just a black screen. Tried again the next day, still a black screen but i left it going longer and within 7 mins the screen flashes on and it boots up and works perfectly like nothing happened...
Also a couple of times i've loaded up Diablo and it seems to be in slow-mo. this is only happened recently and after a restart it seems to fix it. This post has been edited by spankdmonke: Jun 16 2012, 08:44 PM -------------------- Asus P8Z68-V

Its best not to play with that boot picture, as each time you change it you are modifying the bios.
If the problems come back the best thing to do (imo) is reset the cmos so all the factory settings come back. -------------------- not working is hard work

one of the first things I do is turn the boot picture off in the BIOS - I like to see that everything's working, not look at some silly pic, plus, it seems to be a quicker process without the default pic (I'll have to compare them, but, the text does seem quicker to me)
there's lots of fun things to do in the BIOS, stuff that can actually make a difference -------------------- Quote by lunchbox1988
