I thought it was kinda cool. Different at least. The youtube clip was informative, if a little puzzling.

Yeah, that was only a year or two ago. I'm talking 6ish years ago.

In the end, this is a novelty, of course. There is really no other reason to build a system like this...

And with well-chosen heatsinks for CPU and GPU, and a convection-fed high flow radiator or two, I reckon you should be able to keep the temperatures below 60. Maybe a heatsink or two from oil to air, as well.

That'd be fucken cool.

...Adding RAM would be a hassle though

silence can be achieved with good heatsinks and s-flex 800rpm fans
for the hdd we now have ssd
optical isnt constant so not such a problem

although sometimes pc components can make a fairly loud electric his\squeal like all my recent pc's... :( atleast this one isnt as loud as the last

actually the one atomic did back in 05 achieved temps of -7 on the cpu and -61 ambient

Nah, we used mineral oil, which in theory would last forever if it didn't absorb water out of the atmosphere ... vegetable oil 'rots', so it has a really short lifespan.
