![]() I bought a gigabit NIC for my PC today. Didn't realise that the onboard one was actually Gigabit. Goes to show that at least it performs the same, This was tested through the Modem, router and gigabit switch. -------------------- Put your monkey where your mouth is.

![]() Winter delayed fiber in our area, so they have upgraded us to a 70/10 connection. Once fiber is installed it will be 70/70. But until then 70/10 is more than good enough! -------------------- Blog: https://jackkb.net

Been a while since I did this...
![]() That's with one of Internode's ADSL2+ Reach plans in FNQ, so it's all running through Telstra gear. Connections used to be up and down all the time, but since changing over to a Billion 7800NL speeds are generally pretty good. -------------------- Intel Core i5 3570K | NZXT Havik 140 | Asus P8Z77-M Pro | 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL | Asus GTX670 DCU2 | Sandisk Extreme 120GB SSD | Hitachi Deskstar 2TB HDD | Corsair AX-650 | Silverstone FT03B | Lite-On DL-4ETS Slot Load Slim Blu-ray | Apple Aluminium Keyboard | Logitech G5 | Dell U2412M

I'm getting about 10 or 20KB/s here at my Dad's place. He must be back on some silly 100MB per month plan or something and I've shaped it to 256k by just browsing normally for a day.

Most only have 100Mbps ethernet port. it's the netgear CG3100, supplied by telstra for the 100Mb plans. (Ultimate Cable 3.0) I've set it into bridge mode and use my own router. -------------------- Put your monkey where your mouth is.
