I'd also like to point out 'let the bodies hit the floor' is by Drowning Pool, not system of a down

Can't go past some Disturbed.
'Down With The Sickness', 'Land Of Confusion' and 'Indestructible' were practically made for gaming rushes.

I don't usually listen to music. As said above, hearing someone coming has given me a few kills too. I usually tap out some random song in my head.
I think I did background music once back when I played alot of UT2k4...and it was any fast metal song I had. Dry Kill Logic and DevilDriver are very good bands to listen to.

I usually just crank Metallica's Master of Puppets or ...and Justice For All albums. Sometimes some Tool. That's only when I'm in the mood for soundless ownership though.

Well not FPS.
But during LAN's when I played Supreme commander I used to start playing "Flight of the Valkyries" just as I launch all my nukes :P

When playing GTA4 online, I'm known to stage my massive assaults on the enemy to the tune of three songs- 'Never Gonna Give You Up' by Rick Astley, 'Scatman' by Scatman John and The Rock's theme song.
It was just something crazy we did.

In BattleField2 I will listen to a random selection of Wierd Al polkas.... Otherwise I like to either play Judas Priest "Hell bent for leather" or Megadeth's "Countdown to extinction" album.

I often find that I'll put a new album on that I haven't heard before when I play a new game, which is interesting, you associate the game with the new album very strongly. Otherwise its a random mix or whatever album I have already associated with the game. Usually it irritates me if I dont play something from that inital album when I play the game again.

Pretty much use this song for any time I'm competing against people.

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned Hell March yet.
There truly is no equal to the sheer magnitude of domination inspired by this tune. Skulls crack and crumble at the very sound of your army flowing over them in a torrent of wrath.
The Gormley power stance is beyond the most metal of epic. Nothing like hot lead flying to those hard ass lyrics "LITTLE WINGS!!! ON LITTLE CREATURES!!!"

Why would you listen to the rocks pussy arse theme song when you can listen to Machine Fucking Head and Triple H's theme song.
