While it's hard to fault the film technically & creatively, I've always felt it was an hipocritical and irresponsible piece of filmmaking. IMO, it glorified the very subject matter and issues that it purported to be satirising.
A cynical money-grab by Mr Stone.

It still did so far less than the media do every day..
Especially as the satire is directed at media presentation and profiteering.

It's an amazing film. Mainly because it was saved from Tarantino.

NBK is certainly a controversial film. As VannA said though, it's not hypocritical at all. The whole point is that it's taking the piss out of the way the media, and the public can turn psychopaths into anti-heroes. People like Bundy and Manson both have a lot of groupies.

NBK is a light and fluffy opinion piece by Oliver Stone. His usual preachy tone and stinted story telling. Tarantino did his level best to have his name removed from the film, and I can't blame him.

I remember seeing this when I was a kid, bought it on DVD a couple of months back, not a bad movie.

Written by Quintin Tarrintino and Directed by Oliver Stone I believe, apparently Mr Tarrintino wasn't happy with the final product due to it's comical tone.

Henry is realistic like NBK is stylised. Even by today's standards, it's pretty tough going. Not sure whether there's a version that's even close to uncut in Aus though.

Now there's a great film.
Let's the story tell itself, instead of jamming the point in your face like a custard and cream pie.

Yep, that's a fair call and one I wouldn't disagree with. I was merely stating the reason for my extreme dislike of NBK.
