My 9 year old Virtuoson wants me to buy Minecraft for him, so that he can play, while his 6 year old Virtuosibling watches.
Is the game ok for kids?
From what I've seen the graphics are quite unrealistic. Is there any foul language? Sexual innuendo? Anything else I should be concerned about as a parent?
Thanks for your advice.

In single player it's fine.
Of course online you have to deal with who else is online which may be a concern.
So, if spiders and zombies are ok, then single player is safe...

Thanks Macdude.
Is online play with other players you particularly choose, or is it just on public servers open to any random player?

public servers, though there is no 'ip list' in game, you need to know them (many listed on web sites).
Lots of servers don't work. You can create your own server and invite friends (which is what my daughter does...)

There are monsters that look like giant green cocks in it. Are you okay with that?

they act like it too.
I have the game, and I only play Single player and find it fun. it's safe and if you want, you can even turn off the monsters so they don't kill you\break your buildings.. :)

Hahaha
I hate those things
The server I'm on has changed the "giant green cocks". They no longer blow up, they bite :P
The Fuzz damn you!

My 11 and 9 year olds play. Nothing to be concerned about imo, except perhaps the sheer terror that accompanies loud zombie-groaning and spider-slurping. And, of course, the creeper-hissing. Just run a server and have your kids connect to that, they'll have their own persistent world that they can connect to and alter any time you let them.
