Yes please atomic could you do a review on one of these tv's please as i would like to know that someone in the flesh has actually seen one and also used one too.... the series of XVT2 has been released and i think there is a passive glasses Version of this tv on the market. May i make a small shameful plug of www.priceusa.com.au also to have it imported over to australia too lol

    intel HD resolution lock?

and i'm trying to unlock the 60hz lock they have on the monitor... i have tried using a utility called moninfo to create a driver to unlock this god-forsaken refresh rate and its no good as i can't work it out and a little help would be appreciated if anyone could help me or have made their own drivers with this program before. i know i can reverse the driver if there is an issue via admin and the program seems to read the current settings in the monitor driver and i can create a backup of this and also edit the details and save them as a new driver and implement them... but what i'm really asking i suppose is what do i edit to change the refresh rate as there is no way to remove the intel control panel and let windows override this... and i think their control panel "locks" the refresh otherwise its in the chip itself. I'm not a hardcore gamer but i know that this refresh rate could go a bit higher as it supports 720p and says it supports 1080p so i can assume that the refresh can go a little higher than 60hz... please as this is not an urgent thing but i would like to at least try Also the monitor is a chi mei monitor according to another program called AIDA64 Extreme edition Monitor Name Chi Mei N156B6-L0B the graphics controller is integrated and it is Integrated: Intel Auburndale/Arrandale Processor - Integrated Graphics Controller I have even looked for an Intel HD tweaking program but to no avail. i think this moninfo program is my best chance of getting the refresh rate up at the moment. Thanks in advance.
  6. Thanks for the advice guys really appreciate it... God it's been ages since I have chatted in here ... Was back in the day when atomic started
  7. a region unlock or region killer for the drive as i don't want to start ripping dvd's and have to use a secondary software solution... i am using the following drive model HL-DT-STDVDRAM GT30N Firmware version LE10 i am looking for a rp1 or rp2 firmware to unlock this and i hear that anyDVD is a good way to "unlock" your dvd regioning without unlocking your player but i just want to place the disc in and then run dvd shrink or something like that. If anyone can help, it would be of great help. Thanks

aliali - yeah i read all about that. pitty its in regards to one company that they screwed it for the rest of us.. thankyou Stefan Wisniewski and his wife Theresa and the criminal links that you tied with ... Thanks a bunch.. aliali the specs for each model can be found at www.vizio.com - i have read up on this but i have equipment for the tv to support its usage so im not really worried about that at all ch3ssnut - yeah i have been reading about the 2VXT series that are coming out too soonish (approx September to November 2009 at last report via http://cnettv.cnet.com/vizio-vf552xvt-sv47...3-50075277.html ) (they have ethernet and wifi capabilities to stream media and internet related material) and also have bluetooth remote control (so no more pointing to the sensor and remote also has slide keyboard for typing website addresses and also interacting with the beast.) LogicprObe - What is the Difference between CFL and LED Backlighting anyways? IF you guys wanted to see any vids about this tv check it here at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnEA61D6MzY (sorry not in HD) if you search vizio in youtube you can find more information and reviews there also. Does anyone have a friend in the us that can get one over here? lol Hey Atomic, Can YOu Please Do A Review on 40"+ TVs for HTPC's and see if you can include on of these puppies as the company isn't too fond of us Aussies cause of a married couple i mentioned earlier that were "supposedly" supported by VIZIO

  13. I have recently purchased a Kogan 24" LCD monitor and was wondering if there was a application that allows you to up the refresh in 1hz steps as i have this screen with a stupid lock and some movies over the Internets (flash based movies) seem to jutter and doesn't look to impressive ... however movies that i have on my hard drive seem to work brilliantly. Here is the monitor that i purchased too and at a reasonable price to boot. 379$ or there about (with a discount code KGNBUCK) but i must give warning that there was no VGA or DVI cable but is capable of both. http://www.kogan.com.au/shop/kogan-1080p-2...-monitor-white/
