    Israel did it.

I'd say what about previously banned users circumventing their ban, but there was an amnesty recently right? I noticed nickeax and a few others came back.

Arcade tokens look a lot like coins to me. Basically every arcade used these from the mid nineties onwards, some still today. Given their prevalence across that time, it should be easy for you to find a case of an arcade operator being charged for simply "making coins", which is what you're claiming is illegal. If you can find such a case, I'll eat my hat.

    Darn Coalition surveilance laws. Why?!

I'm not sure if you're trolling or not? They're clearly talking about data stored on devices, and in those cases, law enforcement will have the ability to get, for instance, the BitLocker recovery key from AD. It's pretty cut-and-dried. In fact, I don't even need to assume that: It also goes on to say ....are you OK man?
  4. As long as you keep saying "the same as any other murder", then you're still implicitly agreeing that there are certain situations where it's justified, if not called for.

I don't make money yet, but the end goal is to supplement my income with something I enjoy doing. If you're only watching Streams of people silently playing a game, then yeah, sure, a Youtube LP is of equal or greater value. The good streams are the ones where the host interacts with the viewers, and generally creates a feeling of community.

Translation: I waded through conspiracy theories while meticulously ignoring reputable sources, so that I wouldn't have to wonder if maybe the conspiracy theories are wrong, which would make me wrong, and undermine my reputation as a beacon of objectivity and rationality.

I think you're deliberately choosing a very narrow interpretation of that text to fit your ideological position. You can't make a coin and say "this is a dollar". That's all it's saying. You can make your own coin from whatever you want and call it whatever you want, you just can't purport that it is an Australian Dollar, because that's forgery. The law prevents you from creating counterfeit Australian Dollars, not from creating a token for your own micro-economy if you so wished.

  12. Not necessarily, doctors can tell pretty reliably if the unborn child has the potential to kill its mother. Murder, manslaughter, grievous bodily harm resulting in death... Take your pick. If you think personhood begins at conception, then an infant should be sent to prison if they cause their mother's death. I bet I know what you'll say next.

Bullying: The risk with 'accepting differences'.

Oh ffs how do I image now. Where TF is the bbcode editing option? But I guess at the end of the day I somewhat see where you're coming from? There's a balance between "pull your head in, son" and "be yourself, son" that is probably impossible to get right. Telling ANYONE, let alone children in their formative years, that they shouldn't be themselves because of how others may judge, feels damaging. At the same time, the lesson of "there's a time and place for everything, and sometimes the time and place isn't in the school yard during recess" is a valuable one.

You CAN use whatever you want as money. You're just not allowed to pass off things you made yourself as legal tender. Like, oh, I don't know....... COUNTERFEITING. And to answer your question, I'm not afraid of freedom, I love freedom, I'm just not in an abusive relationship with freedom the way that you are. Just the same way that while we generally agree that killing somebody is wrong, sometimes we have to do it to prevent a worse outcome.
