    Got myself a flu shot

It's "staph" but you probably know that - been there, not nice. Cheers

Staff yeah, makes sense, but unless they do get a positive doubt they would test everyone. Cheers

    Got myself a flu shot

The consensus seems to be to rely upon temperature as the first indicator TMFP, the next step is really, apart from feedback from the patient, an actual test, which whilst not in short supply they are reserving until primary indicators appear. The most telling feedback from patients seems to be loss of taste and smell. Cheers

    The coronavirus conspiracy

Been resisting the temptation to dive into the X Files myself - I've never looked at how many hours it is but a lot. Nothing wrong with a good if at least reasonably plausible conspiracy theory, the detention of two surviving members of an apparently failed attempt to seize or kill the president of Venezuela this week being a good example. Combine that with a passsenger-less cruise ship in the near vicinity running down and sinking a Venezuelan gun boat with the mercs claiming Trump involvement and the boards light up However in the case of this researcher's murder I really cannot see much apart from an all-too often tale of jealousy and revenge with tragic outcomes. Cheers

True, my daughter is anything but stupid and I love her dearly, but she can have the attitude...' Cheers

    What's on your mind?

I don't, mainly because I do not befriend morons, but to my sorrow one of my daughters has a close analogue of the name and can be sometimes Cheers

    The coronavirus conspiracy

The Primaries are about candidacy selection, Biden has the nomination, I don't see anyone taking that away from him and certainly not Michelle. She may next round but four years off from the lunacy of the White House might not be enough, although she has carried herself with grace throughout. It seems increasingly obvious that you do not really grok the U.S. electoral process. Hardly surprising, it was dreamed up a couple of centuries ago, has been endlessly amended and each state tends to have their own interpretation. Barring accidents Biden will be the Democrat candidate, he is, I agree, far from ideal, but that is no reason to think Trump is better, he's utterly bolloxed it up and does not deserve a second chance. More significant and it is somewhat unusual but it now hinges on whom he selects as his running mate. The last time that mattered was when FDR picked Truman. The last time the VP had to step up was Ford, time before that Johnson and if you know anything about American politics it has to be that it is STILL recovering form the input of Johnson. Ford was just a place marker. Whom he selects I do not care yet to speculate, but it will be important in picking up swing voters. Cheers

    The coronavirus conspiracy

The countries that are in some form of denial of the pandemic effects will have one hell of a tough time of it, I'm not going to be surprised to see insurrection in Brazil, unfortunately less likely in North Korea, the Kim grip on the country by whatever means is very firm. America has weathered worse. I'd not write Biden off if he is given the opportunity. He's a man aware of his limitations and willing to assemble a highly capable team to steer them through. The country has become too used to a megalomaniac who wants to be the only one running the ship and is proving himself utterly incapable of doing so. Cheers Edit. That article does not actually say the staff are to lose their jobs, says they are being re-deployed to call centres. I do wonder however if the branches will ever open again. It's been years since I was last in a bank branch, they are rapidly becoming obsolete. Staff would need minimal if any training to take up the slack on the big rise in phone traffic so I doubt the bank would let many of them go.

Had not realised they do that - if not adjusting it seems a bit unnecessary if not contra-indicated. Cheers

    The coronavirus conspiracy

I find it very difficult to read much of anything into the app. as much as anything because my 'phone is not grafted to me and I could always choose to take my non-app enabled mobile with me if I wanted. You are absolutely correct on Trump Chaos, personally I think Biden is playing a much smarter game in essentially giving him a spade to dig his own grave with. The best the shit flingers have managed on Biden is the dead news about his son, he is not Hunter, some woman who claims he groped her 27 years ago and that he might be showing signs of dementia. Two wrongs never make a right but Trump has half his fucking family on payroll, gropes at will and brags about it and is demonstrably demented... Cheers

    The coronavirus conspiracy

I just continue to be bemused by the self-deception that is Trump: https://www.news.com.au/world/coronavirus/global/coronavirus-donald-trump-claims-other-countries-are-fudging-covid19-death-counts/news-story/4b86553be0af81a03e3c82cf0f283d60 Who DOES he think he is kidding ? I can accept that China very likely did obscure their death statistics but most countries have been rigorous in getting their numbers as accurate as possible whilst in the more savagely hit countries that was been a task unto itself, including America. Evidence suggests their real death count is significantly higher. That's hardly surprising given the size of the population and the impact upon their health system. However even Russia seems to be as accurate as they can manage, the only countries I would be pretty much ignoring would be North Korea and Brazil. So now we have him again playing a numbers game to make America's seem less daunting. The fact is most of America is being rather delinquent in observing social distancing requirements even leaving aside those who just want to get back to work. China because it has such rigid control over its population was able to keep their numbers lower, not so America. Meanwhile he wanted to disband the task force and when rapidly told don't be stupid, he tries to spin it as being popular and then almost as an aside says they are expanding it. I really do not know what world he is living in, but it seems well populated with morons who would rather believe him than think. Cheers

    Problems with the 737MAX ?

With everything else I had overlooked that Virgin going into administration presumably means their orders for MAX are off the table. I wonder how many other airlines going to the wall also have orders that are now in doubt ? That massive back-order book for the MAX now looks to be in serious trouble. Cheers

    Problems with the 737MAX ?

Yeah, the dry desert is a good place to store aircraft. Hate to disappoint you but very difficult indeed, especially from that facility. Essentially they cocoon the aircraft, fully de-fueled, sealed up and purged with inert gas, that' s before you figure out the start sequence That's a newish facility for aircraft storage with no provision as yet for cannibalising the aircraft or eventually destroying them - in the end most if not all should eventually fly back into service. At the best known such facility, "Might Masdic" or Davis Monthan Airbase in Arizona it is a different story. Whilst some aircraft there return to, or in some cases enter initial service a lot do get used for parts and eventually broken up. It's rather sad but serious collectors have been managing to save and restore some of the rarer examples. Cheers

Hmm, Well, it's a close and relatively small town, cops should have their own suspicions as well. Cheers

    The coronavirus conspiracy

You really think so ? Australia has a pretty stable system overall, no reason to rock the boat. Not to belabor a point but it seems the Atomic Scientists also believe an investigation into the origins of the Covid19 virus is merited: https://thebulletin.org/2020/05/natural-spillover-or-research-lab-leak-why-a-credible-investigation-in-needed-to-determine-the-origin-of-the-coronavirus-pandemic/?utm_source=Newsletter&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=Newsletter05042020&utm_content=DisruptiveTechnologies_NaturalSpillover_05012020# The problem is keeping it non-political. How is COVID 19 affecting you?

Never tried that, always been content with some form of potato and a green veg plus a standard gravy with a filet, must give it a go next time I get one. Cheers

    What's on your mind?

!?! Sounds very freaky, especially in a town in isolation. It really is an unnerving feeling, had a break-in a few years back whilst asleep, not nice. Try a cup of tea, it may not help but making it takes your mind off it Cheers

How is COVID 19 affecting you?

Dominos should not be but is incredibly variable, not been game to try around here. Fortunately do not need to, great wood fired place just up the road. (pineapple does not belong within a mile of a pizza ya hoon, but pointless arguing ) Why would you need a mushroom sauce with a filet Logic ? Cook it right and all you need are sides. Cheers

    The coronavirus conspiracy

Vodaphone is not alone, everyone I know is getting the regular coronavirus updates and prods, it's a useful service. I really do not get the resistance to this app. it is totally focused on tracing, that is all, and then only when a case is identified, externally and the powers that be begin trace=back. As for releasing the source code - please don't, talk about making life easy for hackers... Cheers
