  2. Backpacking through Europe and USA with a laptop. Many hostels didn't have wifi so the wife and I would routinely search for unsecured wifi connections which wasn't that hard in 2007 - people hadn't cottoned on to locking them down yet. We were arseholes too, we'd download entire tv shows and movies to watch later to wind down after a day of exploring strange cities.

40th Birthday present arrived last week, my Pebble has been its death-throes for a while now. My birthday is not for another 6 weeks so it has to stay on the fridge until then...

  5. I guess also there is a difference between 'guilty'and 'responsible'for these kids of situations. If you're the sole occupant of a automated car and someone else dies, you may not be 'guilty'as you were not in control but where you 'responsible'? Who would be 'liable'', the occupant (if deemed to be otherwise 'at fault') or the developers of the system through their action, inaction or ignorance of the failing?
  6. Q: Should a driverless car sacrifice the lone occupant if it meant saving four pedestrians? A: Absolutely Q: Would you buy a car that was programmed to kill you to save the lives of four pedestrians who didn't look before crossing the road? A: Fuck no

New forum issues/features here (Atomic πi)

Running Chrome in Windows 10 x64, and the Atomic tab always runs my CPU at approx 70%. Killing the Atomic tab alone drops my CPU usage back to nix

New Fridge! Its one of these - https://www.samsung.com/au/refrigerators/srs655nls/ Probably the last time it will be this clean, once the kids get home they'll no doubt move all the stuff stuck to the old fridge to the new

Help! Baby on the way ... what do I need to know?

Time to look into your private health insurance and sort out what you want to do in regards to going private or public. Look into the Medicare safety net - https://www.humanservices.gov.au/individuals/services/medicare/medicare-safety-net - get you and the GF enrolled as a family Get used to this http://www.mbsonline.gov.au/internet/mbsonline/publishing.nsf/Content/Home Be aware of this - http://www9.health.gov.au/mbs/search.cfm?q=16590&Submit=&sopt=I and review the safety net info per above - Most obstetricians I know of will change at least $2000 for this consult but you'll only get $316.85 + $219.45 back, but the safety net will apply for the rest of the year

    Hi, I have a question

This morning for breakfast I had four weet-bix plus the left-over crumbs from the empty packet, microwaved for two minutes. Then honey drizzled of top and then a banana on top. For lunch I'm thinking a ham-and-cheese toastie with the homemade bread my wife makes.
