  10. Hi I was hoping someone can help me. I have an i pad mini (i think it is the 1st generation) and i cant upgrade to ios 10 or sync my ipad. I tried factory resetting my i pad. I also tried reinstalling itunes on my computer and updating my drivers but my i pad still won't sync and i don't know where to go from here. My i pad works fine apart from it not having the latest update and not syncing. Please help me as I can't afford a new I pad.
  11. Yes that's right. 192.168.1.255 is the BROADCAST address of the 192.168.1.0 subnet. I even checked with one of my instructors. You can't use the network address or the broadcast address for ur router or any other host!!! Yeah, you're both right - put down the bangs (exclamation marks). ;) Working from memory, and missed by one. At least I didn't try to tell you it was 256. ;p Sorry, I got a bit excited because I I knew something that many people don't know. I'm no expert and it's rare I can answer a question or make a valid statement.
  12. Actually that should be 192.168.1.254. That's the standard Billion router IP address. As always with router login issues first make sure the PC is set to DHCP not a fixed IP, then get the router IP address the computers network interface properties or via Ipconfig /all in the command prompt. Also make sure any VPNs are disabled and clear your browser cache. Yes that's right. 192.168.1.255 is the BROADCAST address of the 192.168.1.0 subnet. I even checked with one of my instructors. 13. I was just doing some research about raid and I found this interesting article http://www.zdnet.com/article/raidfail-dont-use-raid-5-on-small-arrays/ its and old article but it's still interesting.
  14. I can't believe I'm the one helping someone on this forum (usually it's other way round), but if you have a cable tester, test the ethernet cable if it is faulty replace it. If not I'd buy a new nic, they're cheap enough (even for a brand name like netgear or dlink.)
  15. I've just been doing some thinking. This is pure curiosity nothing else but if someone bought a computer from America, and it somehow couldn't run at 240v (I know, most have a switch that can convert the voltage) would putting an Australian psu in it make it work ok? or would they have to replace other components too?
