Borrowed one - testing and it looks like this fangled Google Photos thing does let you embed/hotlink.

how crap is this government ?

I was in a casual job 17 years back and they were adamant about the 30 hour limit but things have changed since then and maybe the hours limit was one of them. But strangely though, I got superannuation which I don't think was compulsory at the time.

Really. Just because I can't stand that particular woman, and have said similar things about Clinton you take that as a blanket opinion. Funny how the left accuse those opposite of prejudice but carry on in that exact same way.

Casuals are only supposed to do max 30 hours per week. So that would translate to no more than about 6 hours of "overtime" being possible if assumed as 3 x 10 hour days.

Win10 isn't too bad with supplying built in drivers for printers but then you miss out on the utilities and stuff like ink/toner levels, so have to download them anyway. The thing that shits me though is the bloatware nature of the things plus the fact some installs take the best part of 30 minutes.

I'd not put KMart of Big W in the same league as Myer and DJs. Though the latter two are just overpriced in most cases and the irony is that when the group was Myer/Coles/KMart/Target you could in theory pay vastly different amounts in each chain for the exact same thing that probably lived in a shared warehouse.

Cyclone's name sounds like a brand of board shorts. Printers - cunts for sure. I like lasers though. Fucking inkjets should be made illegal. Bring back the dot matrix!

And that mysogony speech. Bunch of shit. Pulling the victim card any time a male had the temerity to criticise her. Self appointed grandiose cow.

It wasn't a case of us being ready or not. Fact of the matter is she's a fuckwit. Unionist ladder-climber, just like Shorten. In it for themselves and not others.

The type of business that employs casuals is the least equipped to be able to accomodate such a payout at the moment.

Germany isn't going well. 692 new cases and 43 deaths in the last recording day. The logical comparisons - going better than the UK and Italy, but almost on par with France though only about 1/3rd the death rate. Denmark - almost double the number of cases we have here with little over 20% of the population. Though they seem to be flattening the curve. Finland - about on par with us but they're a fraction of our population as well and have a much worse death rate. Taiwan - similar population to ours but few cases. Supposedly benefiting from previous experience with SARS-1. Well, if we're talking local politics - IMO the closing of the borders came about a month too late (international). The Ruby Princess will be remembered as the farce of the century and has probably contributed to over 20% of all cases. Albanese was actually going OK for a time but has made an utter tonk of himself with the comment on the overestimate of JobKeeper. It's a pure and simple case of mass error on the part of those filling the form and from what I've seen there's no reason to believe the form design itself was at fault. The Greens are conspicuous by their lack of commentary... as I predicted: clueless in a crisis. Back to Taiwan. I can't help but think there might be some US/China style creative accounting going on there. But the same could probably be said for another 100+ countries.

I remember when the local KMart... used to have a restaurant in the middle of the store. used to sell guns and ammo. had an Atari 2600 in one of those arcade type playable displays - used to go there almost every Friday night.

Needless duplication in lots of cases. Of the about 6 around here at least half are real close to a KMart. And much of what they have it crap anyway. The real pity is Harris Scarfe since most of what they sell is pretty decent stuff.

Ford - poor marketing and management for most of the last 25 years. Holden - GM worldwide so pathetic that they're pulling out of right-hand-drive markets near completely. Toyota - when their main competitors announced they were pulling the plug, they had a potential bonanza on their hands but instead just followed suit. Historically the car makers have taken money and given little back in return. Nissan took something like a $30 million grant just months before they shut down. It's a whack to the pride for sure, but the net job losses aren't all that great, and the profits were going offshore anyway.

Yeah, the hand sanitizer has come back to near sane prices for the most part but still plenty of toe-rags profiteering from it. I got a litre for $20 but it's 62% and I'm fairly sure the recommendation is 70% The nitrile gloves - they're pricey compared to the latex ones by default and doubt you'd get them much under a buck a pair in small quantities.

I ducked into Harvey Norman the other day. In their "bargain bin" which is near the checkout (usually with about a dozen compartments of same items) was a 3 ml container of hand saniizer for 5 bucks. Yep. 5 fucking bucks! But hey, it comes with a handy carabeena! They also had Laser screen cleaner for 10 bucks. You usually see that shit at the Reject Shop in a bubble pack with an imitation microfibre cloth for about half that price.

    Reflecting on Two Atomic Decades

Wheel colour = car colour is like a big expanse of sheet metal without a stripe, strip or colour change. Just too much. I agree in that wheel colour should usually contrast the body. Or at the least be a somewhat different shade of the body colour. For that car my preference would probably be a lightish gold or a shiny silver. Or maybe yellow though it'd be a bit loud and cheesy.

Very close. I don't think I've ever encountered those. I'm not sure what the origin of the game is. I had a printout of the CC2 program but not sure if I still do (and being dot-matrix would probably have faded by now). Memory is fuzzy but I get the feeling it might have been adapted from something else. There's even the chance it could have been a terminal printer game where you just entered the angle/bags then had it print the result each time. If I get the chance I'll see if I can do a video of my port of the game - improved it with sounds, better graphics and interface.

Looks like it's a road + offroad combo - bit of extra ground clearance and plenty of space under the front guard. I get the feeling there might be some quick removable fairing elements there too?

Might be this part of the form - it looks like you can only get the form through the Business Portal from MyGov. If it is, then you'd need to be a bit of a nonce to fuck it up...

The Atomic era concludes and we were magnificent

As it would happen I spotted the May 2020 issue at an op-shop for a buck, which I bought and served as reminder to get the 40th anniversary one. Which I picked up just then... PMSL. "Then and now" and it's got a Compucolor II on the cover. That was one of the first 3 computers I ever used, after System 80 and Atari 400. I learned Basic from it's user manual (as bad as it was). It has something like a 56 KB floppy drive with primative filing system. The OS was buggy to the point where pressing a key would corrupt registers or something and cause weird program behaviour. I think we had 1 or 2 games. Shoot was one, it'd draw a mountain and you'd enter angle and bags (powder) to control the trajectory of your shot (affected by wind) and try and blow up the other player. I ported the game to the Atari and it was included in my book. Last year of High School we had grant money from Bob Hawke's government which went towards several Microbees.

M key M.2 NVMe SSD to USB 3.1 adaptor box. As usual, the local MSY listed it as not in stock so just grabbed on off eBay and about $17 less at that. Seems it comes with a USB C to C cable, so picked up a USB 2.0 A to C cable from Officeworks.
