    What's on your mind?

I guess you could call it an evolution and mix of slapstick and dark comedy. Also throw in the likes of Monty Python's works, Not the 9 O'Clock News and some of Kenny Everett's stuff.

    What's on your mind?

It probably served as inspiration. Set the theme for later shows like Filthy Rich & Catflap, Bottom and Time Gentlemen Please.

    What's on your mind?

Where does the time go? It's almost 30 years since Men Behaving Badly (the UK original, not the crap US copy) debuted (1992). Doesn't seem anywhere near that long (though we probably had a year or 2 lag in it's airing).

    What's on your mind?

I gave it the arse decades ago. Price going up every 6 months "compensated" by stupid discount shoe offer that I maybe used once.

    The coronavirus conspiracy

Some people... 3 pulls of 6 sheets each to wipe the seat before even starting. 1 pull of 8 sheets layed down as anti-splash. 4 pulls of 8 sheets each compiled into an inefficient fold+scrunch configuration. 1 pull of 4 sheets at the end to wipe the piss off the seat. = 62 sheets or just under half a standard roll.

    What a joke

Biden has a chance, in fact he'd probably beat Trump. Sanders would probably give Trump another win with bigger majority.

    The coronavirus conspiracy

I probably use a little over 2, though I also use the stuff during the cleaning process which usually consumes half a roll or more.

    Playing Pioneers - Gone Campin'

I've got 2 of those solar showers - just the cheap ones that are normally $18 at Supercheap Auto or BCF - paid I think 6 bucks for both at a Salvo shop. Haven't had opportunity to try them out yet.

    The coronavirus conspiracy

I actually do normally stockpile 20+ The motivation there being you buy the 8-16 ,multiply packs when they're at a good price. But when it does happen to get low I don't worry too much. As for avoiding public places and such - you're probably more likely to pick up something in an aircon'd office work environment. I used to work in sick buildings and a flu every few months was par for the course.

    The coronavirus conspiracy

Morons and their anti-splash panic buying. Went to one Woolies, nothing. The other was just being restocked and I paid $3.70 for a 4-pack of those extra long rolls. And only did so because I was down to my last 3 rolls + the one on the holder.

    Playing Pioneers - Gone Campin'

I last did the proper camping (though still a tent) probably about 18 months ago. At the back of someone's small farm, probably ~ 300 metres from any other people with no nearby facilities. Bath was by boiling water from a nearby creek. It's a pretty good way to do it and you can get clean using a cup to pour it over you while soaped up and you only need about 4 litres, you only need to boil about 1/4 of that.

    Playing Pioneers - Gone Campin'

Some nice historic stuff there. I went glamping from Saturday to yesterday (tent in van park with amenities). They're doing offers to boost the local economy after the fires so I got 4 nights for the price of 3. But the rain rolled in and I decided yesterday to leave early. Turned out to be a good call - the rain started when I was about 25km homeward, and from the weatherzone site it started to register at Moruya airport (about 8km from where I was) about 20 minutes after I left. If I'd have stayed until packing up around 9am as the usual I'd have been packing a very wet tent away - they had 5.4mm in the 24 hours to 9am today and it must have pissed down from about 9:30 as the new recording period saw it go from 0-5.4mm in the first hour to 10am. As of 4pm they've recorded 36.6mm.

The popular technical channels are cross-polinating. You have to be a regular viewer to get some of the references. "Release the schmoo!" is one of AvE's favourites, and gets a mention or two in this ep.

how crap is this government ?

Light rail is just another modern day "meetoo" - ism. Sydney got them so Newcastle had to get them, then Wollongong and now Canberra. What gets me about the local ones is there's absolutely SFA technology thrown into the mix. With modern systems they could have avoided duplicating much of the track and could have automated them rather than needing drivers. But no, none of that. The biggest positive though is that the disruption to car traffic isn't near as bad as I'd expected. But visually, it's a blight on the landscape. Northborne Avenue used to be a postcard, but not anymore.

Good ep, looks to be over a year in the making (re cam follower problems) Nice reference to The Skid Factory during and at the end. IMO the best Aus car related channel by a slight margin from Street Machine. Well worth a look, some great builds and general videos on both.

    Pet Peeves !

I'd be tempted to sacrifice an old phone for the cause... but really, why would fresh water bother anything beside electrical conacts (battery, SIM, SD, other connectors) and the display panel? Best method would be to pull the phone apart ASAP though of course beyond most people.

Chemical cleaners cost potentially a lot over the life of the jewelery + can damage some surfaces. Though don't the ultrasonic ones involve chemical use too? Or just distilled water?

    Pet Peeves !

I've seen small ultrasonic cleaners and sort of wanted to grab one for the electronics/gadget cleaning side of things... though no usage case really to justify it.

    Pet Peeves !

Hey! I wash my jewelry every day, sometimes for longer than others. Oh, OK. THAT kind of jewelry. Mine - I was about to put into WOMM. Body language 101 - if you see someone walking around a shop or shopping centre with their hands behind their back, usually one hand clasping the wrist of the other. And usually a male over 60. He has absolutely no intention of buying anything. In fact barely even browsing. He's probably waiting for his wife (who's likely in a post office queue or a completely different shop). And while doing so, taking great pleasure in getting in the fucking way of everyone who's trying to just go about their business and get out of there.

    i see dead people

Don Furner, first coach of the Canberra Raiders from 1982-1987 (the year Wayne Bennett was co-coach and they made the Grand Final for the first time). https://the-riotact.com/league-fans-mourn-death-of-don-furner-sr-at-87/359834 The Canberra rugby league community is in mourning today after the passing of Don Furner Sr, one of its most respected and important figures. Mr Furner died on Monday night after a long illness. He was 87.

The marquis was gone on Monday, but still NFI what the event was.
  22. The biggest loss is inability to choose which notification icons are hidden which I imagine is a bunch of registry stuff though probably not straightforward. Customisation stuff. Wallpaper right-click option is still there. I still paid for the 2 I'm running though it cost me like 4 bucks a pop.

Slow news day? Must be when this sort of thing goes international. https://amp.news.com.au/travel/travel-updates/incidents/family-shamed-for-trashing-restaurant-during-meal/news-story/310be1c4e698486b8ad1b1fa3dc3ec08
  24. That CPU wouldn't be entirely shabby. G3220 is 3 GHz but just dual-core. Roughly equivalent to what a midrange laptop would have. The Pentiums are lower end but based on the Core i, and generally just have less cache, lower spec graphics and other omissions like fewer mult/turbo options, less or no virtualisation and hyperthreading.
  25. On any given machine Win10 will be slower. I put it onto an SSD on an Atom equipped mini laptop and it was near unbearable where Win7 is tolerable. You can get Windows ISOs using the utility from this site https://www.heidoc.net/joomla/technology-science/microsoft/67-microsoft-windows-and-office-iso-download-tool I use Rufus to produce the bootable USB flashdrive. Use MBR/BIOS for older machines and GPT/UEFI to make installers for newer machines. NTFS file system for both. They're beyond version 3 now... I prefer the older version 2.18 myself. https://rufus.ie/
