    What's on your mind?

I'm sure there's extensions for it. I used to use a browser that did that at the press of a button. Vivaldi has page filters for invert and black/white with 2 clicks. Per page only though. So there are options.

    What's on your mind?

I've asked similar questions like "would you start a business selling something for ~$200 and support that product for 10yrs+ with no ongoing payments?" ...and i've never got an answer. Apparently it doesn't count when it affects them, but more than happy to if they can take advantage of it. How can that be? I thought Windows was the only OS that dies mid-upgrade, and that Linux is the saviour of all users from the hell that is Windows 10 and will be taking over any day now... /s

    The Ukraine plane crash

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-01-11/iran-admits-to-shooting-down-ukrainian-plane/11860508 Seems like they've admitted it was them, although apparently it was unintentional.

    i see dead people

+1 During that 17yrs after the diagnosis & treatment, Marie managed to go around the world a couple more times and released a few new albums as well. Things that many people thought would never happen. Big loss for a long time fan. But the music lives on...

    2001 brown face

I'm sure someone will be offended on their behalf.

    What's on your mind?

With the amount of preying going on due to all the shootings in the US, there should only be love and well wishes flying around everywhere - not bullets.

    Problems with the 737MAX ?

It's definitely a concern. Although since the initial battery issues i don't recall there being any major disaster related to the 787. This site seems to agree. So it seems to have a good record up till now. Although maybe the batch of planes that this affects hasn't made it to the air yet??

    Problems with the 737MAX ?

    Well that was eye opening!!
  10. hmmm... look at that, right on time. You really have to wonder what the tipping point is for these fools to say "hey, there's something wrong here, and we need to do something about it". Instead it just gets tossed aside as just something you deal with every other week. For the "home of the brave" they sure don't have the balls to do anything that might make a difference.

And What Are You Listening To?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/w13xttx2/episodes/downloads Podcast on the moon missions. A lot is stuff you already know but still lots of good stuff in there.

Why I was up at an insane hour....

So glad i didn't have to go to work till late on monday. I wasn't actually expecting Federer to give Djokovic that much of a challenge. He is on the wrong side of 30 for a tennis player after all. I figured it would be some close sets, but probably in 4 sets to Djokovic. When it got to championship points to Fed, it was quite amazing, although not surprising given his feats in the past. But an almost 5-hour, 5 set to tiebreak end wasn't on my radar. Absolutely superb match, just not the ending i was hoping for.

    An interesting thought...

As someone who finds this whole discussion interesting but has no real knowledge about it, I also have to wonder why this hasn't become the new standard. From what i can tell it's no better/worse than the current status quo in terms of safety, BUT you get the option to use a good portion of the waste already piling up all over the place, and there's less, and less dangerous waste produced. For those reasons alone it seems like the smart thing to do. I'd also be surprised if over the years they haven't been able to create better safety protocols to counter potential issues. But again, that's just a very superficial look at some of the info out there. I'm sure there's something that i'm missing.

NBN - Is it too expensive?

No talk of FTTN, or is there a plan to get FTTN users moved to a FTTC or FTTH at some stage?
