    Bad Company 2

so you had a tank and got base raped by a heli -_- sorry to sound like a dick but you deserve to be base raped, takes all of 5 seconds to shoot a heli down with the 50cal LMG on each tank, even the gun on the Humvee will do it. Well you are a dick. Time it takes to re-spawn, hes smashed all the tanks, anti air, and every f'n thing in spawn. He was also smart enough and a good enough flyer to stay high enough so you couldn't get the range on him. There where about ten of us trying to nail him and it was ridiculous. And none of us were new to the game.

"sighs" Had an absolute awesome time on the old farts server heavy metal map last night. Until some twat in the heli starts smashing the uncap. Then his mate, the sniper sits there and picks you off every time you jump in the heli to take out the other chopper. Ended up with k/d of 2/20. And that was when the twat in the heli crashed and parachuted out and I nailed him with a tank. I hate those morons. Funny thing was, the heli dude topped the score lists by a long margin but they still lost the round. Guess that's what happens when you don't back your mates up with the heli. Good game = Teamwork, spotting enemies, dropping ammo/med kits, doing your damnedest to cap, and occasionally backing up with some good sniper shots. I gotta say spotting enemies is the most important for me. Doesn't work so great on hardcore, but it helps you nail those freak-in snipers!!!

    Swan wants a congestion tax

Well on the original topic, if they plan on introducing this nationwide, you can jam it fair up your clacker (Swan). No congestion down here in Tassie me bucko (Swan).

Same thing happened to me on the weekend. Lost about 700meg on BC2 download. Strange things a-stirrin. Thought I was losing it.

Burnt alive for stealing a sack of potatoes

Cant watch this sort of thing. It's bad enough to know it happens, without being able to do a thing about it. There are some seriously wayward moral compasses out there. The scary thing is, they probably think this sort of thing is fine to do to another human being.

    Steam Servers

mmm I've tried SteamWatch before, but found Freys to be more reliable. SteamWatch was a bit hit and miss. Having said that, I know a lot off other people have had success with it.

    Steam Servers

Any one know of a way to check the content that's hosted on a Steam server? eg Bigponds. Due to being bigponds wireless bitch I have to watch my quota with an eagle eye and Freys backing me up. It sucks to buy a game, find out it's larger than my monthly quota, and then, Bigpond doesn't host it!

Whacking kids in the modern era

As the father of two autistic children and two "normal" children (thats four if you can't count) this is the best way to deal discipline. Yes we have had to resort to smacks, but this has been due to our failures as parents. Usually resulting from frustration, our impatience, tiredness, sickness, whatever. Vary rarely have my kids been smacked due to a last resort from the other disciplinary measures failing. Reward chart has been the most effective method for us. It has taught our children how to earn respect and trust. And saved me a sore hand many times. What kind of Autism do your kids have? At what age were they diagnosed? Do they have language or academic delay? Do they have any co-morbid conditions? I don't see smacking as a failure on my part. The situation was appropriate, and I see it as a legitimate punishment if called for. As I said, I saw it as my only option. There is an age where reward charts and privileges don't work. And sometimes he is just too stubborn to allow these things to work. My son understands respect and trust. He appreciates discipline and understands the need for it. I've tried to show him "why" which for him is the most important thing. A few smacks along the way has not stopped that. These days smacking is no longer necessary or even appropriate (unless he throws another fit I guess). I'm very lucky with my two childrens autism as they are both higher functioning autistics, and autism is the only disability(for want of a better word) that has shown up. One was considered serious in WA but Tassie seems to have a different rating system for their diagnosis. We can't get any assistance over here for them. We started to get concerned at 18 months for my boy. At first we thought he may have been deaf. Eye contact was another thing that concerned us. Even in his cot as a baby he wouldnt look straight at you. Might sound funny to some people, but it's something you can really pick up on.After two years in the public health system, were they said, yes, we think he has autism, but we'll leave it another year and see how he is going(Yes. Seriously, they said that). We switched to private (Due to starting work in the mines I could afford this) and had a complete diagnosis within a few months. My daughter is only mildly autistic and it shows in her speech. She also takes a bit longer to comprehend some basic instructions, but can grasp some harder tasks that kids of the same age struggle with, immediately. So my boy didnt get diagnosed till nearly four, but my girl took a lot longer, probably about five and a half. It wasn't until she went to school till we and the teacher realised their was a problem. We have been extremely lucky that they are not more serious though. They are easier to look after than my other two children due to their routines. Once we figured out what was needed, and what they needed it's been easier. Whereas my other two, I can't predict them from one day to the next. grrrrrr

    Cost of the death penalty

I reckon they should be frozen in a cryo prison until some future time when they are needed to fight are super tough, bizare looking thug that links to their past and escaped from the same prison in bizare cicumstances. Following the killing spree and subsequent capture, refreezing and smashing to pieces of said thug they would be subsequently pardoned, given a hot cyber police girl and made mayor of San Angeles. Wow. I'm giving Marco Brambilla a call!
  13. I closed my eyes, pressed my finger to the screen and landed on this. Pure gold.
