    Skyfall review of sorts!

I saw it last night and would say it was a solid bond film, but not amazing as some critics has said but I did like the ending.

    Media Drive

Thats is just a NAS drive and has to connect to a router for network access. I want to store locally and connect to a LCD but still be able to on the network.

    Media Drive

Connect the HDD via USB not ethernet to the WD live.As for wireless I gave up on it some time ago for streaming it is just to erratic IMO. You really need a decent wired connection to stream HD content with any surety. Or if wireless is the only solution make sure it is wireless N on all devices and that the channel you are using is clear. Run something like inSSIDer on a laptop to scan for what wireless channels are in use around you. http://www.metageek.net/products/inssider/ Also available for MAC and Android. So you reckon the HDD will work via USB if it not connected to the router?(I already tried Ethernet it didn't work) I don't really want to run a cable from were the TV sits to router as its across the floor of the lounge(see my dodgy drawing). Media Drive

The media drive has an ethernet and USB port. I tried the ethernet connection with the WD HDD connected, but as it's not on the network anymore so it doesn't have a IP so the media drive doesn't see it(a networking guy could explain this better, networking is not my thing). Then I transfered some files on too little portable HDD and plugged it into the front of the media player and it works fine. But the whole point of having a media drive so I don't have to keep transfering files or using ethernet from behind the TV to the corner of the lounge room where the router & network drive is.

    Media Drive

I just bought the western digital TV Live media drive and it won't do what I want. It connects wirelessly to the network via the router and see's my 2TB WD My Book live drive. But when I try streaming HD files to it the buffering starts and pauses. I then tried connecting the HDD to the WD Live but it's doesn't detect it as the HDD doesn't have an IP anymore. Pretty frustrated. I just need to either; 1. stream HD wirless with no or very little buffering from the router to a media player which connects via HDMI to the TV. 2. a media drive that accepts large HDD 2TB to be connected via eithernet\USB(this might be a problem with my HDD) 3 a media drive with a built in large storage capacity, so files can be stored locally and no streaming for playback is required. Any Ideas?

    Media Drive

Hi I am looking for recommendations for a media drive like Western Digital Elements. I would like a media drive with 2TB HDD or more and be able to use wireless or Ethernet to connect to my router. I assume once it's connected it will be able to browse the HDD connected to the router. It also needs to support Full HD and a range of codecs and cost around 250-350. Thanks

You don't have to. If you are trying to transfer like that then install Kies and use it's wifi sync. Do you mean this app? http://www.samsungapps.com/mercury/about/o...mp;_isAppsDep=Y

    Tablets

Yeah I know about the format restrictions of the iPAD which is why I am staying away from it, well that and the over price :) I found when I connect it to a laptop I was able to transfer a mkv from the network drive via the laptop and it then played it fine in HD. But for $800 odd dollars I don't think I should have to connect a laptop to it just to transfer media files. I was just using the default file explorer.

    Tablets

I tried out the Samsung last night. Very nice looking easy to use and I was able to synch my amp, blu ray and tv to one button so that was really good. But it wasn't able to browse the files on my network drive even though it was on the network. It found the folder but wouldn't detect any of the files. So the samsung is off the list.

a Few hundred, been looking at the Kindle Fire HD as I think the iPAD2 is over priced. I am looking a good E Reader and would also like to be able to put my TV shows and movies on it.

Hi I was wondering is there a tablet you can move your own movie files (.avi .mpeg .mkv) on to and watch or maybe they all do this?
