From the iTunes EULA regarding use of Apps on up to five devices linked to my account:- Usage Rules (i) Your use of the Products is conditioned upon your prior acceptance of the terms of this Agreement and the applicable end-user license agreement. (ii) You shall be able to store Products from up to five different Accounts on certain devices, including an iPod touch or iPhone, at a time. (iii) You shall be able to store Products on five iTunes-authorized devices at any time. Source You mean Google Voice, which isn't a VOIP App and is only available in the US, this Google Voice? P.S. Why don't you fuck off with the stupid fanboy comments, they add nothing to the discussion and serve no more than to put you in with all the other trolls.

Really? There's 10's of thousands of free applications on the App Store. And sharing music and books in copyright is illegal, which is not a limitation of the device but the law. Isn't all iTunes music now DRM free? My iTunes account will sync my Apps to any of my families iPhone's or iPod touches, effectively allowing me to share them, for free. I could lend you one of these iPad things so you can read a book on it, if I wanted too in much the same way as I could lend you a real book. Don't this Free Software Foundation realise that Apple is the middle man between content creators and end users, shouldn't they be targeting the content creators to release their content for free. Something I noticed when I was visiting a friend's house, I picked up an open WiFi network coming from who knows where, what I noticed was I had access to their entire iTunes library and could play any of their music via my iPhone. I could flick through the playlists, albums and songs as if they were on my own iPhone. The Free software foundation is a joke.
  4. Here's a heads up, the Magic dropped to free on a $29 Cap today. $4.95 a month on a 12 month contract gets 200MB data or $9.95 month to month. There is also a $49 Internet cap with $300 calls etc and 300MB data. Vodafone made the mistake of thinking it was a substitute for the iPhone, which it isn't so must have lots of them, either that or they are clearing the way for the Nexus.

    MobileMe Package

I have it, when I first got an iPhone I started the trial then cancelled it as at that time I couldn't see the value in it. Then when I got a MacBook I got another trial and stuck with it. I have tried the remote passcode lock and find my iPhone a few times just to see how it works you can send your iPhone a message and make a sound even when on silent. I haven't tried remote wipe but I assume it works. Contacts, calendars and notes sync via MobileMe so when I add or change things on my iPhone they change on my MacBook too. I host a website on MobileMe and also use it to share photo's 20GB of space and 200GB traffic per month is plenty for my needs. Photo's can be easily uploaded and shared from my iPhone and MacBook. I also store other files which can be accessed from iDisk on my phone and Macbook, I can work on documents on my iPhone with QuickOffice and access them later on my Macbook. I can also access everything via the Internet.

    Apple's inevitable tablet

Why would Apple want to jump in on a market with such low profit margins and high competition when they dominate the $US1000+ computer market. It will be interesting to see how many magazine and newspaper publishers will join in. Atomic on an Apple tablet??? Live coverage here
  8. You could have a look here, there are plenty of examples.

A lot of that juice may be being used on themes and other running background processes. Optimisation of battery life is not one of the main features of jailbreaking.

    Blackberry or ?

It is by far the most problematic handset we sell, the repair centres are full of them. Make sure you back it up before you drop it off as all the data will be wiped. Expect it to take 3-4 weeks.

I've found a picture of the genuine Apple tablet. Of course my source may be a bit dated.

    Apple Dumping Google.

Erm... the Zune phone doesn't exist. I don't think anyone can say with any real confidence what, exactly, it will be, or how MS will support current WinMo devices. Project Pink (Zune phone) was scrapped last year.

Which is exactly why MS will want to make sure that their office suite is the one everyone is using, regardless of the platform. The next release of Office for Mac is purported to be ditching Entourage and replacing it with a fully blow version of Outlook, that will be interesting. Microsoft sell software, if they can make almost as much selling Office on the iPhone as they can make selling WinMo licenses to HTC etc, they will be willing to do it. The inclusion of a version of Outlook will help Apple AND Microsoft cut into RIM's Enterprise marketshare. It's all about strategic alliances and Microsoft has been losing out in the mobile arena big time to Apple, RIM and now Google. It will be interesting to see how Apple addresses security issues with iPhone OS 4.0.
