dear mum's' ringtone: Devil Gate Drive, by Suzy Quatro Miss you Mum
-
Thank you for your kind words, dear mum died last Friday morning... just a week of her 65th birthday ANd now the distressing bit... money. (Cross-posted from my Facebook page) This is fucking horrible. I went to the courthouse for my interview about funeral assistance. I got told that the government would take every last cent of my mothers. and the total of her last pension payment... and in doing so cancelling the deductions she had set up, a fortnightly rent payment (I pay the other week), and $80 per fortnight for the power-bill.. The total amount the government would take is $3200. I was hoping to be able to use some of her estate to settle an outstanding power-bill, and to ease my transition to a single income household. I'd be left with a total liability of around $1000, (consisting of the rent & power bill)., if I submitted the paperwork today I don't know what to do, I don't know where to go, I don't know how to ask for help. I'm just a disabled penisoiner, I only get $920 a fortnight. Dare I sent up a Go-fund me page? I feel selfish for thinking about it, and selfish for thinking about asking for help I have tried to have a self-less live. I just want to restart my life. :(

I haven't been on here for quite some time. How does someone prepare for the immanent death of a loved one? My mum is dieing from a runaway staph infection. Sometimes it feels so unreal, like a dream almost. other times it is hyper real. she was making small improvements each day. But, then her liver is just about kaput, and her kidneys have almost shut down. this town house is so empty with out her. I have lived with her for my life so far. There are things that I have regret saying. And, there are things that I regret not saying. I opened the door when I got home after visiting her in ICU on Saturday, and said in a clear voice "Hi mum, I'm home", as I normally do. I then went down into the kitchen, and said "I'm home". I kept saying"I'm home" louder, and louder, till I collapsed to the floor crying... quietly saying " I'm home" in between the crying And in my mind my mum said "I know"

The hard drive I have installed for Windows 10, it's rather small. I'd like some tips on how to migrate the whole hard drive contents and partition to a new larger hard drive

That time of year when new Mobile Phones come out.

I don't think I'll be upgrading for a fair few years... My S7 Edge is just right for me. I when I picked it up from Telsta, i quipped that it is "Australia resistant." unlike the previous generation S phones. I once split coffee on it, and washed the Edge off under the tap -
I'd spend eight bucks in bus fare though

I finally got myself a backup hard drive, a Seagate Backup Plus Slim 1tb. They were on sale at the local Big W $78. I'm using Create Synchronicity to handle backups. I used it with my previous computer

My mum passed out and had a bad fall yesterday morning. She is now a guest of the Neurology Suite at the Royal Womens' Hospital in Brisbane. Some inter-cranial bleeding was found. I feel so alone

I am now a Motorist. I got 30 out of 30 questions right in the Queensland learners' permit test. All I need now is a vehicle

I just bought Battlefield One for $67 Australian. Bugger to EA and their inflated Origin store price
