  1. Hi fellow @tomic gurus, I was wondering if you guys could help me decide what I need to achieve the required tasks. Basically I'm self employed and having products designed with my own label and I'm having some problems trying to get the manufacturers to understand what I mean when I ask for them to modify a design. So I was thinking of getting a wacom bamboo tablet or something that would allow me to sketch and draw so I could show them what I meant rather then telling them. The thing is I've never really done that much graphics design aside from a bit at school with Photoshop/Illustrator Year 11/12 so could really use a hand. What do you guys think I should do? I don't want to spend more than $150 of the tablet just as a precaution if I can't draw for crap..
  2. yep just my computer and the laptop that are having the issues, my brothers pc doesn't have any problems.. all autofilled data has been cleared and cookies etc, The clock and location are right, and the router has been reset to factory settings and still no success..
  3. Hi guys, I'm trying to identify the reason why I can't place any multi-bets on luxbet like I could 3 days ago. I have just reformatted this morning and still I'm getting the following error. The weird thing is it does the same thing on the laptop but my brothers desktop is fine just my computer and the laptop seem affected. Any suggestions? This web page is not available The connection to www.luxbet.com was interrupted. Here are some suggestions: Reload this web page later. Check your Internet connection. Reboot any routers, modems or other network devices that you may be using. Add Google Chrome as a permitted programme in your firewall or antivirus software's settings. If it is already a permitted programme, try deleting it from the list of permitted programmes and adding it again. If you use a proxy server, check your proxy settings or contact your network administrator to make sure that the proxy server is working. If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server, adjust your proxy settings: Go to the spanner menu > Options > Under the Bonnet > Change proxy settings... > LAN Settings and deselect the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" checkbox. Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): The connection was reset.
  4. Finally have the internet back >>> , I'm just going to look for a nice 3.5 or 2.5 enclosure and see what I can get. The USB 3 benefits are very tempting but it means I need to get a pci card for the moment.. Time to look for drives Cheers for the replies guys sorry for the late reply, I also agree i hate the shit crappy backup software or apps some companies are putting on their drives... gives me the shits
  5. O.P. Hey Guys, Currently looking at a temporary backup solution for my data until I can afford my RAID and nas Enclosure so I just have a few questions which I hope someone can clear. Would it be wiser for me to get a separate USB 3 enclosure and then put a samsung F3 Drive in it Or Should I just Purchase a Samsung STORY USB 3.0 1TB External Drive for $75 from PCCG http://tiny.cc/avrvf I've been burnt by WD so I don't want to touch their external hdd's and I've been told your failure rate is a lot lower when you make your own external HDD. I'm thinking of a 1TB Drive. Still need to buy a USB 3 PCI-E card though Suggestions
  6. We have both available... so It's a matter of choice really.
  7. Yeh except there is a bit of a price increase with the Telstra plan.. I'll see what we decide to do cheers for the help :)
  8. Wait, cable is available and you're pissing about with lousy old ADSL? ADSL2+ correction :P Optus Cable 500GB bundled for $84.95 a month including a basic phone line with some credit. Cable internet has none of these modem box, router box, double NAT bullshit issues. You plug in your WiFi router, it gets an IP by DHCP, you're online. The Cable modem is completely transparent. This is my current speed.. (slits wrists) Probably going to go with optus as I doubt Telstra Cable is going to give me anything near my unlimited quota with Foxtel bundled.. So I'm thinking if I go cable just have it running through a gigabit switch because we have 6 ethernet connections and then get a wireless access point for downstairs.. sound good?
  9. I'll see how things pan out, atm it seems to be working relatively well (for now) Cheers
  10. I can't reset anything there is no outside access being allowed into the router So you cant physically walk up to it with a pen and hold the factory reset button for 10 seconds? I'll try again but I did that last night and then tried to login and it still wouldn't let me :(
  11. I can't reset anything there is no outside access being allowed into the router, I think it's officially fcked. My concern is trying to establish why youtube/facebook are screwing up on my computer and others every so often and then working fine for a week straight. Might just go to JW Computers buy a new adsl2 modem and a gigabit switch. Had enough of this shit screwing up My dad is at the point where he wants to switch back to cable to avoid this shit. I hate diagnosing shit!
  12. ^~ This is your problem based on this ~V Where on earth is this line filter? You DONT filter your modem. There is no line filter at the moment I took it off, the modem/router are built into the one device.. The router isn't even allowing me access to login and change anything now and no I haven't changed the password.
  13. My actual internet connection is ethernet I don't use wireless but my sister and brothers macbooks do... There are no actual lines being used for the telephone as we have only got the cable hooked up to the router/modem no telephones hooked up in the house. At this current time trying to login to the router isn't working, it keeps appearing with the login dialog even after I enter the default values. (which haven't been changed) I'm still considering just getting a dedicated modem and then using a network switch with a wireless access point downstairs to fix everything up.
  14. Hi Atomic members, I've run into quite a few issues with my adsl2 TPG connection which I believe I more then likely the result of my modem/router not the actual connection itself.. These are the issues Wireless regularly drops out and sometimes shows as two different networks even though only 1 is being broadcast Whenever my brother attempts to download anything using Utorrent regardless if the speed is 1KB/s my connection will cease to work. Speeds aren't as good as I believe they should be. The router/modem I am using is a TP Link 8910G v3 with updated firmware and a ADSL Line filter. I've been considering doing the following since I am going to be streaming to a htpc downstairs and backing up to a Media Station Buy a Network Switch (D-Link,Netgear, Cisco), Buy a dedicated ADSL2+ Modem, Utlise a gigabit connection so upgrade all the network cards on my pcs probably. And A Wireless access Point for downstairs so the signal is consistent and doesn't drop out.... Would love to hear what you guys would suggest as I don't want to touch TP-Link again..
  15. well the backups were on my other drive which was formatted to run windows 7 Ultimate on. so they are non-existent now at least.
