    mATX Ryzen Recommendations

I respect that. Thanks again guys, will keep you posted (pun intended) with how the new board choice goes.

Thanks for that, Scythe. Any thoughts on the MSI boards? Or just keep it simple and go the ASRock?

    mATX Ryzen Recommendations

Logically one would think this is the case, but it is not. Ryzen 7 was released first so it is fully supported. When Ryzen 5 CPU's were released the many AM4 motherboards did not recognize the processors presence at all (my choice included). Sceptre, I was looking at that board, and I'd be happy with it, it simply seems to have a few features that the BAZOOKA doesn't. As for display port, Ryzen 5 doesn't support integrated graphics (I don't think), USB-C would be nice. The optical out is redundant when digital audio can be sent via USB, and the second PCIe slot will never get used. Edit: Speeling
  5. Hey guys, Haven't kept up to date in the computing scene for the last 7 years, but now I'm doing a mATX Ryzen build for myself. Story time: I purchased a Gigabyte B350M D3H board for this build on super special, initially unaware of the need to update the bios to support the Ryzen 5 1600 CPU. I also purchased my RAM based on the support list for this board. In hindsight I should have bench tested everything first, but I was too keen and built everything only to have it fail to post. Obviously this was due to the need to flash the bios. Using a Ryzen 7 CPU I fired it up only to have it fail to post again. Changed out RAM, same result. Removed RAM completely, still no error code beeps. I concluded that the motherboard is DOA so I'm back in the market for a replacement board. This time around money is no object since it has cost me more by simply not having the computer available to work from.. As mentioned the CPU is a AMD Ryzen 5 1600 and the RAM I plan on using is Kingston HyperX 2600mhz HX426C15FBK2/8. Requirements are really only NVMe, single discrete graphics card will be used. The three boards I think that my shortlist should consist of are: - ASRock AB350M Pro4 -Asus Prime B350M-A -MSI B350M BAZOOKA Any board that requires a bios update to support the CPU has already been discussed with the shop to have it updated before being supplied to me. I can't stand RGB lighting or other gimmicks. Any assistance with my decision would be greatly appreciated, Cheers

    Logitech Z-2300

I have thought about this too, but the sub is actually forward of the satellites and on the floor next to me, the port is also facing my way. If you can picture it, the sub is on my right with the port facing my legs and the cone aiming behind me. Actually, now that I think about it, I can feel the air from the port with the same kind of delay, I know that this is definitely 180° out of phase but there is more lag than that.

I have and it is still the same, it couldn't be the computer because it just uses the headphone jack so the speakers are doing the high and low pass filters.

    Logitech Z-2300

Hey guys, haven't posted for a while, but I've got a problem that's been annoying me for ages. I have the Logitech Z-2300's for a while and the bass has always sounds ok but it is slightly lagging behind the satellites. Has anyone else noticed or heard of this? Better yet, does anyone know how to fix it? I doubt it's possible because the sub and satellites run off the same channel I couldn't fiddle with timings from the computer. I can't think of any way to fix it without getting rid of them altogether and going for a full active setup (way out of my budget). Hehe I if I was smarter I could solder in a capacitor and make the sub voltage phase angle lead a little :P Cheers

New car, or NEW new car

New car, or NEW new car

And why's that? The workmate is the older model, and also a 4 cylinder petrol, the 6 cylinder and the 4TD are much better. Also the workmate is only single cab. It was a joke. Now take a deep breath in.... You know the deal.

New car, or NEW new car

I would get the cheaper one, because it is a Toyota diesel, if you change the filters and oil every 5000k's it will never die so you don't need to worry about 30,000k's or another year of warranty. Then with the $3k you saved get a lift and big muddies!

FB gets a new practise toy!

Haha I sure would agree. I wasn't saying that one is better than the other, although reading back now it sounds like it, I was merely saying that the heavier a weapon is the harder it is to control and keep a strong quick strike from becoming a wild swing :)

FB gets a new practise toy!

Trouble is that the thicker and heavier the weapon is the slower and less controlled it is, obviously, it becomes more like swinging a crowbar. That's why rattan is so popular, it's lighter so wrist flicks are used instead of just brute force like with other heavier batons.

FB gets a new practise toy!

I CBF posting a pic of all my weapons. One or two of the Arnis sticks that you showed would also get a few votes from me, you need to get some of the iron bar ones though, move away from rattan. I have broken so many rattan sticks just running 2 man drills. The iron bar ( not actual iron, heavy, hard wood like jarrah but I don't know exactly....) ones are sooo much heavier and will work your forearms like nothing else. Although I have shattered one of those into three pieces too... ps. FB what do you actually train in?
