    Access old account

Had to create a new account as I havent been on these forums since the swap and old log in doesn't seem to work. If it's possible if a Mod looks over this post to issue me with a new or old password to the account that would be greatly appreciated, otherwise I guess I'll have to work at getting 16 posts just to be able to PM one of you guys. Old account name is "stash" if its possible to PM me the details that would be great or explain what I need to do. Thanks

Just a few shots from last weeks Newcastle vs Auckland bout. Also bought a new IPS monitor which is pretty amazing for photo editing. Thanks mate, Yeah I see strobes becoming addicting, but really I just need it for some of the low light venues I shoot in. Otherwise I'd just shoot natural light all the time as it's not as tricky.

    Lenses

I think what your after is a cheap "nifty 50" 50mm f1.8 great for portraits and low light, and something that will definitely get you playing more with your camera. This is a straight 50mm though so no zoom, you'll have to do that with your legs.... The lens you already have is your "try and cover everything" type lens, but doesn't really excel at any, not a bad lens though.

Just 2 shots from testing my new RadioPoppers, Excuse the hard light but I had nothing to soften it with. I do like the effect, accept for the misplaced shadows of the hand in one and the face on the arm in the other. Thunder2 by Rugged Stash, on Flickr Thunder1 by Rugged Stash, on Flickr

Seen some great things with these cameras. Noise performance is amazing. I noticed when switching to full frame how the noise looks more like a fine grain than anything else and doesn't take away much from the shot at all, is that the same experience with you? The noise looks similar to what comes out of my D700 (though not at such an outlandishly high ISO)

Just grabbed these RadioPopper JRX wireless flash triggers over the weekend but missed out on trying them in the derby environment I bought them for, Only a little test so far but working amazing, can't wait to use them properly. Love the wireless power control. Sorry for just nabbing someone else's photo but I don't think there is much to see really.

Some new shots with the D700 from the night I picked it up. Pretty happy considering this venue has horrid lighting (combo of green, fluro and tung) and I was shooting at ISO6400 as I haven't got my wireless flash triggers. Yeah I think its a world wide issue still, I think I read somewhere they aren't manufactured in the same quantities as the standard version.

Is that just because its the E version?

Ooohhh, Still waiting for my 800E, though, a massive upgrade from my D200! Is that a 70-200mm? looks nothing like the one I've just bought, focal ring on yours is much closer to the camera... Yeah that's the 70-200mm, its the VR I, I'm guessing you have the newer VR II version. It's a little bit longer, slower and has 3 focus lock buttons around it which the newer version doesnt have. Edit. How long have you been waiting on that D800E?

Haven't posted any gear for awhile so thought I'd share my new purchase I picked up last night, the D700, just a small "upgrade" from my D7000. But I need those extra focal points and the non crop factor is a massive change on the wide end.

    Water Cooling options

The Monsoon compression fittings are nice and work out a bit cheaper, also available in a pack of 6 with a tool for even cheaper, which if you go the res/pump, cpu block and rad is all you will need. Also available singly if you needed more. Edit. I would steer clear of the Swiftech block/pump as if you ever want to upgrade the cpu block later on you will also need a new pump.
