    Soul II Soul

Jesus - born to the 'Virgin" Mary - no conception. Eve - born from a rib form Adam - no conception. According to your argument, neither of these people had a soul either.

    Income protection insurance

The example that I gave was a generalisation. If he'd broken his arms too, would he still be able to work? I've had income protection for about 10 years now and it just so happened that 3 years ago I was involved in a car accident that left me out of action with 2 two broken legs and a crushed pelvis. I was off work for 8 months and luckily I chose the cover to kick in after two weeks disabilty. I received 75% of my monthly income for the period of time that I was off work and, as kikz has just pointed out, the repayments were enough to keep the bank happy with the mortgage repayments and kept us going until I eventually managed to get back to work. My payments for my cover started at $200/month (currently $280/month), and I've more than got my money's worth from my monthly payments...and I still have my house.

What if you've broken both of you legs and can't walk for 6 months. How are you going to get some work?

    Office smokers

We did offer a solution, dedicated smoking areas. Besides, you don't understand the purpose of an Internet forum... ranting and chest beating. ;) I think I'm in the wrong place then.

If that's how you feel, why don't you stand up for yourself ? Oh wait... Shouldn't that also be addressed to the OP, too? Afterall, he's having having a tanty just as much Cyberglitch is, and yet he has no solution to the problem either. They're both having a rant. Why don't people who are so averse to this issue, (and any other issues in fact), rock up with placards waving at the office of their local MP demanding action. I'm sure you'll all achieve a lot more than chest-beating on a geek forum.

Bubba Smith "Police Academy" star dead at 66

Yeah, he was always the 'dead pan' actor in those movies. He was great, nonetheless. I'll miss him for sure.

    Home Loan advice

This is an incredibly valuable piece of advice and something that many bank managers will not tell you, (for obvious reasons). Paying your mortgage fortnightly, (instead of monthly), reduces the term of your 30-year loan to about 15 years, without you having to pay any extra payments over that time. Lol... How did you figure that out ? Repayments are calculated for monthly instalments and for fortnightly, it's divided in two. So the main reason the term lowers with fortnightly payments is because you're paying more instalments. Work it out ... 26 instalments as opposed to 24 (12 x 2). The main thing you want to know is how your lender calculates interest. There are still a lot that calculate monthly on the highest balance, rather than daily. Fortnightly payments will provide a further small reduction to your term when interest is calculated daily, but won't make one ounce of difference if calculated monthly. ... and might I add, that all reputable lenders will volunteer this information. I think you're right. When I was paying my loan off, the interest on the loan kept going down, (and I started at 17% when I took out my loan back in 1990). So in effect I was paying more per fortnight, once the interest starting to go down without me realising it,as I didn't reduce my fortnightly re-payments. The same probably wouldn't apply now, seeing as the interest rates will most likely go up in the near future rather than down.

    Chess

I love the game. I've been playing it for years, but when I tried to download copies of the game, it had a few viruses/spyware. I'd love to download a game which is free of the spyware. If anyone can direct me in the right direction, I'd love for them to tell here or PM me.

If you walk far enough back with the glasses off Cummings, the Einstein moustache becomes Munro's smile. It's amazing.
