    so it's come to this

I come from a broken family, struggle to make any sort of payment, and work my ass of for little return. I've always felt like I've never really fitted anywhere within my group of friends, work colleagues, social whatever the fuck it is. I've often wondered if the world may be a better place without me. To which I've often thought - you know what... maybe that's the wrong line of thinking. Maybe I'm better off without a world full of fuckwits. Surely life has to be better than this. I'm sure there may be some people annoyed at me, but at least I won't need to worry about that any more. It was kind of good being here while I was... Just don't think I can put up with any thing anymore. Ciao.

    Facebook Games

I use to play Kings of Babylon. Bloody awesome game... Use to be a dedicated FB version which was tops but now it goes through their main server, which is the same as the non FB version. Really need to get a membership to have a good chance at the game. If anyone here plays it let me know, may rejoin! Cheers

    tracking/tracing IP address

IP Lookup sites will give that sort of info... Pretty useless though...

    vivid wireless

Well seems to be working again. Watching vid's on youtube without a single delay. Click the video to watch and instantly comes up... and all this while downloading a linux iso @ 1MB/s. Go figure...

    vivid wireless

I've only recently started having this issue though, say in the last month or so. Before that it worked fine. Would stream 5-10 min video's in about 2-4mins! No waiting for the video to load or anything, was just instant as soon as you click on it. My porn sites still work perfect though.. its just youtube. I'm guessing vivid is prioritizing network traffic, and youtube is low on the priority list. Cheers

    vivid wireless

I was downloading a torrent while doing the speed test. Still managed 10Mb/s, while downloading the torrent at about 200kb/s. Been googling a bit, and seems like a common problem, that they are "looking" into.
  7. So this is my download speed atm... Yet I struggle to watch a low quality video on youtube :o Arggghhh Anyone else with vivid experiencing this?
  8. hmmm... interesting. Try this link http://192.168.1.1/setup.cgi?next_file=adsl_driver.htm edit - assuming the modems ip is 192.168.1.1 Cheers edit 2 - Read around e a little bit more and seems like cisco didn't implement this feature?! Looks like you may not get to find out what your snr margins are. Weird.
  9. Had a quick squiz through the manual, and there should be a status tab up top... Click that and then underneath that on a new line you should be able to see DSL. Click that and hopefully voila!

    Which SATA cables?

I've had problems in the past with dodgy sata cables. When I first built my system, windows wouldn't install. Would get about 5 mins in and then BSOD. After pulling my hair out trying to fix it, I swapped the sata cable and magically it started working!
  11. Stats page in the modem should give you that type of info harmonic. Just log into your modem and look around for adsl stats. Cheers

  14. Unfortunately COM1 is nothing but header pins on the mobo. I'll check out that kexec you're talking about. Cheers :)
  15. I'm getting random crashes while using it. Really random as well - sometimes I can use it for hours on end without a drama then lockup after a couple of minutes. Whats pissing me off the most is I'm not getting any error messages. Just a nasty, old school lock up with nothing responding :(
