  1. I don't see the point in buying (as people have said) parts that might not benefit you in anyway. Like if you use your computer for motion graphic/3D you would see a difference between in performance. If your just a gamer, then don't bother man you got a sick rig anyway. I have a similar rig to you and I study Graphic design, Animation, and digital illustration and she is all the power I need. Apart from the animation stuff that gets a bit laggy.
  2. for the short term your motherboard will run fine with the normal 4 pin plug. My EP45-DS4P motherboard has an 8pin and I just used my 4 pin plug for a week or two until i got a Molex to 8pin.

    L4D2 Released on Steam

I would of pre-ordered this game. But i need to know whether there are going to be dedicated servers for all the people that have gore on. I really liked the demo but i aint going to purchase it unless someone can tell me for sure that i can have gore on and play online with gore with minimal lag.

mixed bag of impressions? can you choose if you want like a HC TDM match or what not? are there more popular types of host games then others so like theres more chance you will get a particular type of game as apposed to another? is this all dependent on the host? lots of questions! haha

The only thing im worried about is the location of the host because im from perth and usually i play eastern state servers for l4d and cod4 and i get around 80 ping for those games. Im on pretty much the internet plan as you rebirth so that does give me a good indication on what it would be like.

From what Ive seen in certain reviews they say you get achievement for almost anything and kinda don't like the idea of that. In Cod4 its kind of a nice surprise getting a odd and random achievement i can imagine it getting old if you get it every two seconds. The most thing i dislike is the no lean I can not for the life of me understand why they would take that out its a great feature in cod4. I generally have an open minded view on games regardless of bad rep im sure its a good game but even if i bought it, i cant imagine playing it for the long run.

    Macbook TURBOBOOST!

Yeah im sure i would get a performance increase but im the type of guy that needs to research every aspect of the particular product before buying :P

    Macbook TURBOBOOST!

yeah the 160GB is fine when you just have the OSX on there, but its just not enough space for 2 os's adobe suite and games. I also have an external 1TB for all of my storage (music, movies, torrents and such) The games I play aren't the most taxing either like the most graphically intense game i play at the moment would be cod4 and I heard you can get a good fps with the 9400M. I dont think the 4GB of ram would be as much help in games rather then the adobe suite ie photoshop cs4 which is a ram hog. Its really hard to find benchmarks on how significant it is from upgrading to 5400RPM to a 7200RPM HDD on a macbook as well hence why i started the topic. I know it wouldn't be all that much of an increase but its my only option considering SSD are way to expensive and low capacity.

    Macbook TURBOBOOST!

hey guys I've got a entry level Macbook, the specs are 2.13 dual core, 2GB ram, 9400M graphics, 160 GB HDD. I want to boot camp win 7 with my macbook so I can play some games, but then i realized it would be wise to invest in some new gear for my macbook. I know IF CORRECTLY you are allowed to swap out the HDD and the Ram without breaking the warranty which I thought was pretty sweet. So the stock 160GB HDD runs at 5400RPM an i thought that was pretty weak so i was thinking of grabbing a Seagate MOMENTUS 7200.4 2.5" 500GB Notebook HD and also bumping up the ram to 4GB (DDR2 800MHZ) from kingston So i guess the bigger picture is; will i get a sufficient amount of speed increase for the justification of spending 300 odd dollars? Im also a graphic designer and i know the increase ram will help me out with adobe products but i would like to get your opinions thanks guys
  15. To me cable management is not about showing it off with windows and leds, but own personal satisfaction to keep the computer I built as neat and clean as possible. I modded my P180B for better cable management and I have no side window but i know its nice and neat in my comp regardless.
