    Warning Yadnum Computers

This is good advice - if I had done so I would have found the WP thread and not placed my order. Luckily as I've said before this lesson only cost me $50, but this doesn't mean that I will not keep trying to recover my money - 50 bucks is 50 bucks. It's clear now that this was a scam from the start. I was naive to think that Munday was just incompetent/overwhelmed with orders. It's clear from what shifu says that Munday set out to steal money, if he was still telling ppl as late as the end of Jan that he could deliver within a week. (At which point many ppl had been waiting over a month for orders/refunds to come through.) My bank can do nothing for me as it was a direct deposit. I guess all we can do is keep an eye out for this guy in future and alert ppl to any of his business ventures and hope that the authorities catch up with him. Also I'm in VIC so I'm more or less in the same boat as you MedicineBaby - after reporting to the ACCC and aussiehost.com (which I've done) I really can't do anything else except hope that everyone in NSW takes this as far as possible and hope those who are into Munday for large amounts get their money back. And be relieved I only lost a small amount.

Just for the record, I still have not received a refund. On the day the site was taken down I got an email from Yadnum saying that the status of my order had been changed to refunded. But as yet (one week later) I have not actually received a refund. Countless emails are now just seeming like a waste of my time. I'm going into my bank tomorrow to see if I can have the transaction reversed as others have suggested but I'm not optimistic about it given that I made the deposit nearly two months ago. Live and learn.

That's what he should have put up while he was on his 'Christmas break' - just a big banner saying "closed for business see you in the new year". I bet now he's wishing he did that. Does anyone know if this is still hosted by aussiehost? Agreed, don't resort to violence you'll end up in more trouble than he is. It's not worth it, go through the proper channels.

Well I did get an email today saying that I had been refunded so something is being done, but no money in my account as yet, and now the site is down. I won't stop chasing it but at the end of the day I can live with losing $50, like I said I just hope people with lots of money at stake don't get shafted. I also notified ACCC, tbh I think they are pretty powerless. If this was planned from the start of December he could have easily made off with hundreds of thousands.

Hi guys. I was caught up in this too. I also emailed aussiehost.com and told them they were facilitating fraud as long as they kept Yadnum open. I was going to email them again today, I was surprised it had stayed online nearly a week after I contacted them. For a long time I tried to give Munday the benefit of the doubt but then began emailing him daily with angry complaints demanding my money back. I received (another) email today saying that I would receive a refund, but as yet the $$ is not in my account. I'm just glad that the site has been taken down so no-one else will lose money. My order was only small, 50 bucks for a cooler. I was about to set up a fake email account and make an inquiry about a large order to see if he responded, I'm glad I didn't have to. For those of you (and I know there are several) with orders into the 1000's I really hope you get your money back. I guess in future I won't dive into an order without doing some research into the trader first. Cheers and good luck. edit: naikii, I also cc'd to the gmail account but it's not active.
