  1. I had the same issue with my media PC. After everything was working for a few months, mouse and keyboard suddenly stopped working once I got to the windows login screen (Windows 8.1, mind you). The same mouse and keyboard worked with other PC's, as well as in the BIOS for the media PC. Repairing windows with the install CD fixed it. Not sure how much help this is to you, but just a suggestion.

oooo that looks very smick kamerong. Cheers buddy :) Just wanted something reliable and comfortable (And a little bit different) So is that some version of the Maxima? Uh not exactly, I thought so at first but it was explained to me that they are both currently still released. I believe the Altima fits somewhere between the Pulsar and the Maxima. My model has a 4cyl 2.5L engine, whereas (I think) that Maximas generally come with 6 cylinder engines. EDIT: I'm probably wrong though, not really into cars that much

    CPU for design software

do you know how many threads each program can run? also, what GPU, storage and other PCI-e cards? Looking at a Samsung 840 pro 240gb SSD for storage, and a gtx680, though by the time I build this there might be a new generation of cards out. I'm willing to fork out $600-$700 for the GPU. In regards to how many threads each program can run, I wouldn't have a clue. I'll go do some research
  6. I'm planning a new build for within the next 6 months which would be for equal parts gaming and using design programs such as Revit and AutoCAD, as I am currently studying Architecture at university. I am aware that for gaming purposes, an i5 is more than adequate, however I was wondering whether it was worth investing in the i7 due to the fact that I'll be using the aforementioned software on a regular basis. Any help is greatly appreciated, at this point I'm leaning more towards the i7 + a fair amount of RAM
  7. Failburger. Yeah got a bit ahead of myself. But really, is there much difference between a live performance by Daft Punk and playing their album over speakers?
  8. So Daft Punk have decided to hold the global launch for their new album, Random Access Memories, in the rural town of Wee Waa, NSW. I thought it was a joke but it seems that it isn't, and I honestly don't get why they would do this. But I guess if you're Daft Punk, you can do whatever the hell you want. http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/musicnews/s3733244.htm

If I could steal a moment of your time

Thanks for the awesome response guys! Don't think I placed in the top 3, but top 10 out of 11,000+ is still a great result :) I really appreciate you all taking the time to vote for me too. I think the idea that got the most votes was a bus with a vending machine inside of it. Questionable to say the least, but I will remain gracious in defeat :P Oh and Eveln if you are referring to my trip to Bali, it was awesome. Turns out I was worrying over nothing, and after a few days I managed to relax and have a great time. Some pretty confronting stuff over there though, I'd hate to see what the NON-tourist areas of indonesia would be like.

Unfortunately no, it doesn't say. I'd be happy just finishing in third place, you get the same prize if you're 1st, 2nd or 3rd. The first three must have a monumental amount of votes becaues I can't seem to break out of fourth place.

Probably because I'm not smart enough to think of that :P Thanks for all the votes guys! I really appreciate it.
  12. Hey guys, I just want to start off by apologising for this post, I hate to be that guy bugging everyone with voting stuff like this but I'm actually in a pretty good position to win a free laptop so I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm sure a bunch of you are aware of Intels convertible challenge competition. I entered just after it started, and happen to be doing quite well (Coming 4th out of around 10,000 entries so far). The competition ends tomorrow and I need to be in 3rd place or better to win, so I was wondering if I could bother you for ten seconds of your time. All you have to do is click this link and click the vote button and that's it, no signing up or registering for anything required. https://convertiblechallenge.intel.com/entry/view/614 If you don't want to vote then that's fine too. Cheers guys (It's also been brought to my attention that my idea already exists, however it turns out most of the other entries do too, so eh)

what you get for it being 'limited edition'? What? It wasn't released until Yesterday... Up until then you could only get it when you purchased a Panasonic TV He is missing a few words, but I believe he was asking what the limited Edition comes with, yes that, fark my words have been horrible lately. Oh, sorry mate, I read that as "What, you get it for being limited edition?", implying i waited all this time just for the limited edition. I'm not sure what you get, I would've got the standard edition but all I could see for sale was the limited edition, and it was only $30 so I ordered it without asking questions.
