    Rest in Peace Spamz0r - 6/5/1987 - 29/10/2012

I have BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder) just like Spamz0r. It's an incredibly shit thing to try and live with. We have a 10% mortality rate (some estimate higher) which is an incredibly high amount. It permeates all aspects of your life. It colours your perception, impacts upon your ability to form/conduct/hold relationships, maintain a steady job, makes your moods and emotions unstable and often disproportinate to the stimuli they are in response to and more times than not results in self harm. I myself have a failed suicide attempt under my belt and I'm thankful that it's one thing I failed at. If any of you would like to understand BPD check this link out -> http://www.borderlinepersonalitydisorder.com.au/ RIP Spamz0r, I hope he found the peace that eluded him in life.

Monitor Choices Are Doing My Head In!

Be glad you didn't get the XL2420T like me from BenQ. I really haven't noticed a massive improvement with 120hz and the picture quality doesn't seem as good compared to my mates Samsung. Sure the 3D is cool and a fun thing to use every now and then but overall I'm disappointed with my purchase.
  4. Hey guys, so far I haven't been able to get a RAM overclock working on my motherboard. The CPU overclock works fine, I just set one of the "OC Profile"(s) and bam, instant speed. I've tried selecting one of the XMP profiles in the BIOS, however, when I enter windows and run CPU-Z (Or is it GPU-Z that reads RAM, can't remember?) it says my RAM is running at the factory clock rather than 2400Mhz that the XMP profile allows for. Has anyone had any experience with the new Asus boards and has run into this problem? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It wasn't a matter of intentionally nitpicking. It was more that it's a bit distracting and makes it more difficult to suspend your disbelief and enter the 'world of the game' if aspects of it are a little 'off'. Yes there were some nice scenes (particularly indoors) but overall I found the eye candy a bit lacking. Beyond that, I finished the game and as others said, it was pretty easy. That being said, I tried the 'only kill if I have to' approach but that resulted in quite the body count. I think taking the stealth route would be far more challenging.

Agreed, good but too short. I was also a little unimpressed by some of the low res textures etc. I like my eye candy and Dishonored didn't have that much of it. Sure in terms of overall art design it was cool, but you know ... geek.

Because the arse is a complicated piece of anatomy?
  9. I always get nervous when I hear about people's SSDs failing. Fingers crossed the one in my new rig doesn't die on me!

Mate I know you said you've never dabbled with water cooling but I can recommend the Corsair H100 water cooling kit. It's a closed loop and doesn't need refilling etc. It's essentially an install and forget type scenario. I run 4.8ghz daily and my CPU never gets about 54 degrees, even when gaming. Just food for thought.
  11. Is the OP still taking care of this thread?
  12. Got to keep you on your toes mate :p
  13. I've just uploaded some benchmark results in the thread here: http://forums.atomicmpc.com.au/index.php?showtopic=41178 Let me know what you think guys :) Thanks again for your help.
  14. Ok so here's my first benchmark run. I haven't pushed the hardware yet to find its absolute limit but given I'm already pretty happy with my results I haven't felt the need to overclock until I get errors etc. Metro 2033: 78.67 Ibtrollin - Dual Nvidia GPU - i7 3770K@4.8GHz(w) - SLI GTX680@1136/1558(a) Here's the direct link to the image.
