Good Graphics card on a budget

would there be any recommendations for an Nvidia card around this price range? Maybe even 2nd hand cards at estimated values like half of their original retailing price back in their days?

    Dota 2

well well hello guys... Ive got close to 300 hours on Dota 2 look forward to spending another 300 hours with keen players alike. Anyone up to taking a noob support/pusher into their realms? PS: @Scythe that is very unexpected of you.. I look forward to following your teachings, master.

I always thought 5ghz was easy for 4790K's seeing as they turbo up to 4.4ghz... Really keen to see how a 5ghz 4790K go against an FX9590.

    Parts Guide (2019 update)

This parts guide has to be one of the best available online for Australian builders. This list needs more exposure to enlighten poor gamer builders that fall for the trap with 4G low end GPUs and overkill motherboards with features they wont ever use. Good stuff Dasa!

    Quadfire 6990 or 7970 crossfire?

Thanks for the input guys. I eliminated Quadfire 6990 option - wasnt too keen on knowing it would sip ~900w from the wall. Since Ive got a 680 now Ill just grab another 680 and do crossfire. Pretty keen to bench against my mate who has a 690 when I get my SLI setup going. What do you guys reckon the results would be - 680 SLI > 690?
  9. I know this is a pretty generic question, but Id like to hear from those who've had experience with the 2 said cards. I can get a Quadfire 6990 for ~$300 or for $100 extra crossfire 7970s. Im planning on getting an AX860i PSU to power whichever solution I get, so which one do you reckon is the way to go now?

F-22s FTW for Australia. edit: http://www.ausairpower.net/jsf-analysis-2002.html
  13. That was calculated on pccg's website. I've sent them an email this afternoon to see if they can organize a more reasonable postage option.

Correction, theres only 20 in existence now. 1 was lost to a crash in Andersen AFB 2008 due to equipment malfunction. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2008_Andersen...se_B-2_accident One of the bombers was also flown by a RAF pilot in exchange. He's trained to fly the beast in the US for 2 years and he's going back home with the prize. :D http://www.raf.mod.uk/news/archive/raf-exc...spirit-13062014
  15. http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_p...oducts_id=17942 Does everyone agree that that's a good deal for a Fortress case? Ive been dreaming to buy one of these bad boys at a reasonable price and that dream might just come true... tho not with a postage cost of up to $500 just to get this beast up from Melb to Darwin...
