  1. I've viewed these forums intermittently over many years, thanks to all the people that continue to maintain the "Parts Guide" sticky, it's great. I'm building a new computer and I've based my build off the builds found in the "Parts Guide". Would you guys mind having a look over it and making any suggestions/corrections? My budget is flexible but somewhere between $1500 - $2000 AUD. I'm definitely interested in over-clocking (although I've never done it before) and hopefully I'll be gaming at 2560 x 1440 resolution. CPU Intel® Core™ i5 4690K $390 MB Asus TUF GRYPHON Z97 $188 RAM Kingston Hyper X Fury 8GB (2x4GB) $99 GPU Gigabyte WindForce 4G GTX 980 $705 OR Gainward GeForce GTX 980 Phantom 4GB $709 OR Galax GeForce GTX 980 V2 4GB $649 SSD/HDD --Reclaimed from previous build-- PSU Corsair RM650 650Watt $175 CASE Nanoxia Deep Silence 1 $129 CPU_COOL Corsair Hydro Series H100i CPU Cooler $159 TOTAL ~$1845 + shipping 1. Is the 650W PSU enough, should I go for the 750W instead? 2. Does anyone have any thoughts on the Z97 motherboards, is there any preference towards a particular model? 3. The GPUs are about the cheapest GTX 980s I could find. Am I better off trying to get the best clock for buck (Gainward) or getting the cheapest card and overclocking myself (Galax)? When I'm done I'll post some build pictures, although I can't promise anything flashy.
  2. Hi folks, Been out of the computer building game a while and thought I'd double check a few things before i drop alot of savings on a new machine! Primarily I'd like it to be quiet, have as many future proof parts as possible and be able to run 2x 4k screens. I'm adding $1078 to the build for 2x Samsung 28" as I need to upgrade my screen setup and don't want to drop back to a single monitor. Any suggestions, improvements or even votes for which system is better value would be much appreciated.
