Spread the love, even if it's not Vista; all positive Windows posts are welcome (except ME).

The search indexer is great (and so is combining search and run in the start menu!).

Your turn!

Umm.. I like black? And the black TaskBar that you can't change the colour of?

My tastk bar is currently bright purple (not quit pink - that's what everything else is)

Thankfully, when I click 'Cancel' on the "Window colours and appearance" box, it'll all go back to normal... *twitch*

:p

The only thing about vista that irks me, is I have found no way to force it to remember how to view folders. I like to view one folder with details view, ordered by date modified. Other folders by name etc. Nothing I can do or set will stop vista from reverting to a seemingly random style.

I like:

- The improved CPU scheduler

- DX10

- Noticeably improved stability

- Great range of drivers for x86 and x64 versions

- Vast compatibility with software and hardware

- UAC (everyone loves it, trust me :P)

:)

UAC isn't bad. He's just misunderstood.

I like the little features like the breadcrumb navigation in the explorer address bar.

Certainly is a different choice. I should have been more spefic for you - but I'm pretty sure you understood where I was coming from in regards to the colors of the taskbar so I shaln't waste anymore breath (gotta save it for abusing you on IRC).

How about... The vistasidebar..... I really do like it.... I have world times there, pictures cyling through (I tend to change my desktop background from one of the images that catches my eye when it changes) - weather outside (cause you don't go outside... sun hurts my eyes) - currency (curse you paypal and overseas bills) and server loads.

/waits for someone to mock him and his love for the vista sidebar.

And I think Aero is "neat" - not AWESOME - but just neat.

I like Aero too. Running the desktop in D3D makes everthing sooooooo smooth.

The sidebar is okay, not really my thing though.

I've got Vista Ultimate, so I'm biased

I feel sorry for the people who have Vista Home Abortion Edition.

I have Ultimate, and feel the opposite sometimes! :P

More crap to update! But it is nice having all the Business and Home Premium goodies in one OS. :)

Stability is what I love about it, I have never had a windows crash...............Take that XP ;) Oh and I also like the speed (on a new system) faster than XP. While xp was a great step forward from the horror show that was ME it is now showing it's age.

Here's hoping that windows 7 is even better when it is released.

Yes, it has the makings of a fine OS, if it's ever eventually fixed.

What needs fixing?

Its better than XP as it is

lmfao - I think that goes for any Microsoft Product. Gotta take it as it comes.

UAC isn't bad. He's just misunderstood.

UAC is a good idea, with a horrible, horrible execution.

If you say so, but that's a discussion for another thread; you're killing the mood, man, chill

This.

UAC IS good for what it was intended for, to keep the idiots from making changes to the OS.

That said the people that don't need UAC are the one's that know how to turn it off.

What needs fixing?

LOL. I am not going there again.

Oh yeh, just the end users, my bad.

Sadly Microsoft can't control how smart people are who use their products ;)

Unless you are trying to troll, please stop 'fixing' peoples posts like that.

And if you are trolling, then stop that as well.
