woah, long wait, but it'll be worth it.

Sounds like you need to do a project 365 (one photo, everyday for 1 year) and that will then justify it !

I would love to do a project 365... could barely fit in time for a project 12... might have to pull my finger out, finish my study and give myself some time to spend on my hobby.

Not a bad idea... Moved house recently so I have been time-poor for the last few months, but I need to get out and shoot more - and do some video.

Recent cam-porn addition:

since the last time I filmed video, the panning results were sucky using the my Ballhead+RRS pano bits configured as a franken-gimball.

since the new camera doesn't fit in the passport sling.

Got my nifty fifty today so now my gear list looks like:

EOS 5D mkII

EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L

EF-S 60mm f/2.8 macro

EF 50mm f/1.8 II

EF 12 II extension tube

430EX II speedlight

and my trusty Velbon Sherpa 250R tripod.

As for filters I've got a graduated ND, 2-8 stops I believe, and a Hoya CPL.

No 24-70mm lens, Genesis?

No, never had one. I had a 24-105mm f/4.0 L but it died last winter and I can't afford to replace it yet :(

Ah, thought you miss one. Shame on the dead 24-105. Would have been nice to have.

Booyah! Been pulling together this kit for a while now. After I got back into photography last year, and having found the EP-2 a bit hard to work with in some circumstances, I took the plunge and got a second hand OM-D twin lens kit. Also acquired two FL-600R flashes, the Olympus 45mm f/1.8 and the 12mm f/2, and for my birthday I used the money I got to get the HLD6 battery grip. Now all I need I something to take a photo of...

Irony abounds, the sensor should be Four-Thirds so 4/3" sensor diagonally.

And the lord said let there be lights, and there was light and the lord saw that it was good.

Added to my kit:

2x light stands

1 shoot through brolly

1 reflective brolly

and a Hahnel Combi Tf wireless flash trigger.

Happy birthday to me :)
