The extra buttons and button wrench arrived today.

A word of advise. If you ever get one of these things and want to remove the buttons for what ever reason, than the button wrench is a must. Even with it, it took a good hour to remove and swap all the buttons.

But in the end it's worth it as it now means rather then the buttons all being black, you can match functions to color. Now that they are color I will put button maps in the space between the controller and the screen like they do on some of the old school machines.

I can finally call a close to this project:

I've been working on the decals now. I did a few as per previous post, however I need something bigger now. I found a bunch of vector gaming art and decided to try my hand at something.

I was looking for places to get this printed and a friend of my suggested why not get office works to print it. Turns out that they do large format printing. So I got it done on high gloss paper, didn't cost much about $45 for two sides.

I'm going to update the thread and rewrite with more details of the entire job.

Now back to Donkey Kong

So here I was thinking I was finished.....

But then a friend of mine said "Why don't you get a light gun?"

My instant thought was no you can't, it's an LCD not a CRT but it turns out they do make such a thing for LCD's.....

So $79 later we will see how this goes.....

Did I hear you say "House of the dead?"
