Adding a Windows XP Machine to Windows 7/Vista network

Recommended Posts

Just got a second hand laptop over trademart, and I have it connect via wireless to the modem.router (netgear DG834G) And trying to get the xp machine to see the the rest of the computers on the network and vice versa, no idea where to start as I'm used to just adding all XP machines to the same workgroup (eg. MSHOME) and going from there, but I dont think you have that option with Vista/Windows 7.

So what do I do?

BTW XP is running SP3.

*EDIT* NVM I got it... Dunno where I got the idea that vista didnt use work groups from....

I have had the same problem I believe that there is a lack of connectivity between Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows XP.
