Good build mate. Post pics :)

Thanks Man.

Ill be posting a video as well.

Me and SoaS will be benchmarking our systems so we can give some scores out to those wanting to build similar systems to ours and of course ill be posting pictures.

SoaS is getting 3 24inch LCD's so its gonna be a mega PC post.

On the other note, my buddy all the way over in the US has made some backgrounds and I think ill post the theme of my new machine.

Hi index680i and all the other forum members on here.

I really like the look of the rig you are going to build,

I to am planning on building a rig very similar to yours.

I have not done an upgrade for 2 1/2 years so i am looking forward to building this kit.

The kit i would like to build is:

- Intel i7 920 cpu

- LGA1366 Motherboard (Im not to sure which one)

-Seagate 1TB HDD

-Sapphire HD5870 1G GDDR5 PCIE 2D HDMI DP

-G Skill 6G(3x2G) DDR3 PC16000 Trident

-Corsair TX-850 ATX PSu

-G.skill Falcon 64Gb SSD

-Case undecided

I am going to be gaming mainly a @ 1920x1200 but i would like to use a 30" monitor sometime in the future,so i am definetly interseted in overclocking and running Crossfire or SLi.

I am not very experienced at building high end kits so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I got some good ideas for parts from the members from this thread,i have read reviews and they are very good.

The Motherboard and the case are two things i am still unsure about,i have read a lot of reviews on them but that can make it more confusing.

Thanks ,

gilman01

Ok, i will do that.

I just thought that because the kit he is building is similar to what i want,i would just add to it.

Sorry about that.

Actually, its okay with me.

Because later on if you upgrade, I can look into your future topics to see what performance gain I get if I upgraded.

I got my case just now and my parts should be here tomorrow or wednesday.

Your Kit will be very similar to mine.I read the reviews on all the parts and they are highly regarded.

The Kit i will be getting is:

i7 920

Asus P6T deluxe

G.skill 6GB DDR3 Trident

Corsair HX 850

G.Skill 64GB Falcon SSD

Samsung or Seagate 1TB HDd

Sapphire or His HD5870

Windows 7 64bit

I am still undecided about the case,i would like to get a full tower because if i was to run crossfire there would be plenty of airflow, and i like the extra room.

What do you think of the Coolermaster HAF-932? Here is a review:

http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/hardw...ase-review.html

The only thing i dont like is that it has no dust filters, but i suppose i could make some custom ones.

I like that it has wheels. It would be very handy to wheel it into my home theater room.

I would change your PSU to a HX-750W.

Get Sapphire, I worked with HIS before and their fans need some work done on them.

Everything else seems to be fine, but whats your budget?

I like the look of your case.

My budget is about $2500.

Well your build is pretty much the same as mine so what ever you have listed, is pretty much solid :)

$2500 not including monitor?

you can get 2 HD5870's into that if you buy a moderate case and mobo.

get a second video card before another screen lol.

No need to when you got Eyefinity, just take a look at Maxishines setup with one 5870 ;)

Here are some better photos of the case and I have edited my previous post and taken out the crappy pics :P

Its just one awesome case, its really a must have if you want to be different and ensure your stuff looks sexy inside.

Sorry for the extensive case pictures but hey, I am happy with it and I must thank my best buddy SoaS for helping me decide on the case.

He is going to post pictures of his case as well and build.

Once you have had silverstone or LianLi you find it so hard to go back to cases like antec or coolermaster.

I agree.

My first real top quality case and I never want to go Antec again, not after the 900 series and I think the 1200 looks too plastic and ugly.

really nice case!

the red interior looks mean, I didn't think that it would

Either did I, until I seen the video on page 1.

I gotta say, it does look mean and it also has red led fans as well ;)

2x 140mm at the top .

2x 120mm, one at the front bottom and another at the back top.

It has even included dust filters at the front of the case and right where the PSU sits, very sleek indeed.

I remember asking a long time ago that I was looking for a case with a sleek design that would fit for office and gaming use, I found it, this particular case :)

Do they make those case's in the full tower?

Not sure tbh.

-Edit-

Okay, got the rest of my gear W00T!!

I really hate stock coolers from Intel, fucking pisses me off haha but I managed to put it on.

/No Glue needed.

(Jokes)

So ill be posting pictures of the parts and me building the machine and of course the final look to it all :)
