None of the above, you're all worshipping false idols.

Yeah, we should worship Ben Gibbard instead.

Mainly because he gets to bone Zooey and I don't. :'(

For those that didn't get it right away, it's straight out of the first rules of easy multiplication. I'll just put a spoiler over the gory details so as to make it look important and junk. :D

Multiples of two are always even -- even numbers always end in 0,2,4,6, or 8 in decimal.

Multiples of three are a bit more difficult to spot. Add the digits together and if the result is a multiple of three ... the number itself is a multiple of three. This assumes of course that it's a decimal number in question. (e.g. 215,691 -> 2+1+5+6+9+1 -> 24 -> 2+4 -> 6)

Multiples of four are always even of course, and since 4 goes into 100 ... the last two digits are a multiple of four when the whole value is a multiple of four.

Multiples of five always end in 0 or 5 in a decimal number.

Multiples of six are always even and the sum of the digits equals a multiple of three. Just compound the rules for 2 and 3 to get six.

Seven has no shortcuts in the decimal system. :(

Eight goes into 1,000 ... but it's easier to go with the 200 series of multiples.

Nine is simply a compounded rule of threes. If the sum of the digits is nine, the number is a multiple of nine. The "guess a number" game uses this rule to ensure that you are adding together the digits of a multiple of nine. This is done my multiplying by three two times.

And aliali is my idol atm.
