A classic gets re-released

Recommended Posts

The classic from the C64 (and possibly other systems).

It's free, fun and (Being retro) cool.

Really free. As in, they spoke to the estate of the original creator and they have been given 100% permission to do this AS LONG AS THEY DON'T SELL IT!

I spent COUNTLESS hours playing this game at my friends place back in the early 80s. It was awesome.. I've only had a quick go at this as I've only had about 5 minutes to play and I'm about to be kicked off the computer to do some housework. So... I thought I'd share.

It's still fun. It deserves the title of 'classic'.

Wonder if it still says RAR! on a blimp when you win.

M.U.L.E. first came out on the Atari 800... it is the original and best version - the game takes place on Planet Irata for good reason.

I've checked out remakes in the past - so far nobody has been able to capture the spirit and gameplay of the original.

Of course, playing it online would add an entire new dimension... back in the day, the best play was with 4 humans, or 3 humans and a computer player.

Great game - all time classic, in fact. Dan Bunten also programmed Seven Cities of Gold, which was also a great game of the time.
