Sorry about how late this is going up. I got caught up in new years festivities.

From a recent trip to New Zealand, using a Nikon D80 and a Nikkor 18-200mm zoom.

Adrian on rocks at Franz Joseph Glacier, NZ.

Lake Pukehiri - Tasman Valley, NZ. (no cross process or artificial colouring!!)

I am really happy with the way this one turned out, as it captures exactly what I wanted to, when I saw the scene...dreamy, tranquil, peaceful, and a weird atmospheric colouring effect...

Lake Wanaka, NZ

My other half. Taken with my Nokia N95, then played around in Lightroom 3, applied a Glow preset, then manually adjusted levels

There's some nice shots in here this week. Love the one of Lake Pukehiri Antraman. We were over there late last year and couldn't get enough of the place. Can't wait to head back :D

Here's another from yesterday (part of a 365 Project) -

Thanks man. Just curious, if you have visited that lake, did it have the same look, or did I just catch it on a weird day...?

Unfortunately we didn't get to Lake Pukehiri (this time) but we saw Lake Tekapo and Lake Pukaki and the colours were the same. Gorgeous country :D

I know I've been absent a while, and I know it's past the deadline. On the upside, I really am almost sorry about that :p

Interesting shot Tak, what processing did you use on that?

I've noticed a big improvement in your pics in the last couple of months. What have you started doing? I think I remember you got some new kit a while ago, but you're doing some nice effects too. I liked that shoe you did.

Nikon D40, 18-55mm f./3.5-5.6 kit lens, nasty $20 tripod, and an ancient desk lamp from the halls of antiquity sitting in my lap.

Processing consisted of a resize, Librodo sharpening action, and a Bleach Bypass action in Color Efex, which LordBug put me onto. Loving it long time.

The shoe....don't remember. I don't think it was anything too outlandish.

Also, thanks man :)

--edit-- When I look at that pic, it looks like the top right is a thought bubble. Mind like a brick wall :p

Rob

Very sci-fi, love the colours and how almost CG'ed it looks :)

If only the first one didn't have the people in it

From our jaunt to Daylesford the other day -

Your colour separation is spot on, it's subtle and works perfectly with the subject. The tinge you used for the background is ideal for rounding it all off, it isn't bleak and unpleasant like most greyscaled separations are. Top work mate :)

Heh! I noticed that and thought it was deliberate.

Yeah Bleach Bypass...that does some funky shit.

Cool, got me new ISUS95IS last week - I can enter this comp now! No good photos taken so far as I'm still working out my camera.
