[SYD] Powerhouse Museum - Retro gaming weekend

Recommended Posts

http://www.powerhousemuseum.com/the80sareb...gaming-weekend/

Get your joysticks ready for a packed weekend of retro computer games: from Pac-Man to Donkey Kong and Space Invaders!

All weekend (starting Friday night) you can play classic arcade games in our Turbine Hall, or join in a dress-up, life-size 80s computer game (we’ll supply the costumes!). Relive the 80s with a visit to our spectacular The 80s are back exhibition too.

On Friday 29 January, 6–9pm, hear games-inspired music from DJ Ali Reza, grab a drink at the cash bar and hear from 80s gaming experts.

On Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 January, kids can get creative with games-based craft workshops. Adults and bigger kids can join a tour of the Cyberworlds exhibition with curator Matthew Connell (Saturday 30 January, 2–3pm) or hear 80s gaming experts in a fascinating panel discussion (Sunday 31 January, 2–3pm). Read the full program of activities below.

Free with Museum admission: $10 adult / $6 concession / $5 child / Free for Powerhouse members

More an FYI than anything.

could be worth a look......do they have any pinball (asks hopefully) - I never really got into games back then, 'cept pool and pinball.... guess they're not really the type of gaming that they're talking about.

You could nearly walk there!

Alas, if you live 60km from Sydney, walking might not be feasible.

An alternate means of Transportation might be preferable :P

Also they had a outline of a PacMan arena and you could dress up as either the Pacman or a little monster.
