* = This week's submission posted!

New posters this week:

The idea is to get us to get out there and take photos, so nothing from your archive.

This week's reason for the late post: The event in my calendar to remind me to update this is still there but the alert was turned off for some reason.

As usual Athiril, that's a beautiful shot, lighting and composition. Love your work.

Lovely work Athiril.

Tell me, where did you setup your speedlight?

Remote over to your right? diffused?

I'm trying to do similar compositions, although my subject is usually blown out, or shadows are too harsh. (flash in TTL)

My metering is good, and the flash is excellent (sb-800). Maybe I just have not got used to the functions of the flash yet, or the correct position. (only shooting on camera flash atm)

Rob.

Judging by the way the light is falling, it would be off to camera right, possibly with a large umbrella or softbox.

Radio triggered of course... or maybe a really long cord. :P

I never use light modifiers.

If I want soft glamour lighting when there is no longer direct hard sun, I back the flash off to about 15m :)

I use ebay radio triggers.

edit: I';; give a good explanation when i get home from uni

Really nice shots people.

Sorry for the boring subject matter but been busy and I've just received my Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 EX HSM uwa.

I really love the fov 10mm gives on my crop. I can see this lens spending a lot of time on the camera. It's guaranteed to get a good workout in a few months when the wife, lil one and I go visit the "old country" for a holiday.

Shot at 10mm f4 (no more than an inch or two from the back tyre!)

No pp just convert to jpeg & re-size ;
