Help finding suitable Case

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

I have just installed my 9800GX2 and damn its bigger than I expected. I currently have a Lian Li PC-60 and I had to remove the hdd cradle for my 9800GX2 to fit. I now have space for only 1 hdd. I have another 3 hdds that I need back in my machine.

Does anyone know of a good case that will fit this new card and also my existing Thermalright Ultra-120 CPU cooler. The current dimensions of my PC-60 case is 210mmx450mmx490mm(WxHxD). I have almost zero room remaining with my CPU Cooler, so I cannot go less than 210mm.

I am currently using the GA-965P-DS3P motherboard, with a Seasonic M12 PSU. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks.

I didn't even think about that.... thanks, but what would be the best way of securing them??

3.5" to 5.25" Mounting Kits...which would be the cheapest way.

3.5 to 5 1/4" adaptors/coolers

Or you could use some removable HDD bays like these

I use these

for removable SATA drives and with the ability to switch the fan off when not in use it means you do not have the constant fan noise, plus when in use the fan is very quiet.

Agreed, there's plenty of options on the market ranging from front hot swap enclosures:

To internal fan cooled bays:

And fan cool bays with front mesh for more air flow:

Or perhaps a single drive with some noise absorbtion is in order:

Take your pick.

cheers
