Atomic Superpi Scores V5

Recommended Posts

Perhaps there should be a note next to any results with the patch

Not going to bother. Use it at will, it's a legitimate enough thing I think.

Nobody, the patch only affects the Piledriver cores since the Bulldozer cores seemed to have this area locked out so it won't help as much compared to Piledriver. But the author has given a workaround which isn't much really.

Well a second or so still helps greatly in these things ;)

Done a suicidal run for the CPU...

Back on top baby!

Nice! I'll pop it up after I've posted this.

Seeing as I was that close to taking 1st spot for K10(.5), I might give it another go. Plus this time I have that great thing called a Tasmanian Winter on my side. Can't have a filthy FX processor beating my legendary Black Edition chip :-P

/grabs popcorn

This's gonna be good :p

Might try the suicide run again as there is a v1.02 which actually helps with the calculation. Probably will test and check for stability as I think I could hit 4.8GHz if I do it right...

Hmmm, just for the LOLs, I probably should try and do a 4.8GHz run with the new patch just to see how fast I can do it...

anybody else find it funny that smakme's 2600k is still the top of the intel superpi 1m chart?

Yea, i thought i would have been beat ages ago. I guess having over 5.5Ghz has kept me in the fight longer than i expected :D

I could see a lot of CAD programs there. Interesting that you need a 3960X to do so... :P

What are you rocking? I'm probably not the best person to ask, as I haven't touched Intel clocking in a long time. Also you should update your sig so we know what you're running now :-P

rocking an Intel 3570K and 7970 vid card... powerful bunch.. in most cases.. with the card overclocked it runs faster than a pair of 580s... im rather impressed tbh

Finally done me an upgrade.

With minor effort, bashed this out.

Doesn't seem as though Haswell is as good in SuperPi as previous gens.

Haven't got the best RAM but it's decent enough, 2400MHz @ 10-12-12-31-2T

Probably a 4.9GHz in it if I push the voltage more, still have plenty of thermal head room. Though 1.425v is probably well into unsafe territory as is. Not sure. Afaik 1.3v is recommended safe limit.

For Haswell, its 10% on the voltage is considered safe from the Intel rep.

Around the 20min mark:
