Whats the best processor can my motherboard can handle

Hi I currently have a Pentuim D 2.8 (915) processor and many time reached 100% cpu according to Win 7 CPU/RAM widget. So I was wondering what is the best upgrade that I will notice performance.

Your motherboard supports the following CPUs. I have marked your CPU in the list and depending on how much you have to spend i would have said buy one of the dual cores i mentioned or see if you can find a nice Q8400 or Q9400 somewhere. There wasn't alot of socket 775 cpu on sale from what i can see.

Nice necrobump. As for LGA775 CPUs for sale, they practically fall out of trees. In terms of numbers produced I wouldn't be surprised if it's number 1 by a big margin given it's longevity.
