Firefox slow, or my computer?

Recommended Posts

So i've been surfing carsales the last few days, and everythime i click to enlarge the image, it takes a good 30 seconds to actually show up the window... It has bever done this before.. and is really frustrating. I was just wondering could this be something to do with the computer or firfix?.

im using version 3.6.3 if that is of any use

cheers,

If it's only that site, it's probably something related to their site. If it's a general thing, then possibly your machine/browser. Is it only there?.

Seems to be on anything that requires opening a new windows, It also takes a while to load a second browser window also (i have dual screens, so i use a browser on each screen at times)

Disable all your FF plug-ins you don't need, maybe one of them is a bit dodgy and not loading properly.

I have had this before, i fixed it by;

Use mozbackup - http://mozbackup.jasnapaka.com/ to back up my user data

Uninstall firefox, remove the folder from program files

Uninstalled Java, remove the folder from program files

Uninstalled flash, and ran the clean up tool - http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html

Run ccleaner through your registry

Reboot

Reinstall firefox, flash, and java

Reboot

Reload user data with mozbackup
