hP/Compaq computer

Hi all, its been a while since i posted anything... i used to bacn in atomicmpc 1 days... anyway i got a shit computer, its a 1.2 gig xp inbuilt graphics that cant even handle dvds or sound properly. anyway what whould be the cheapest option for a decent gcard that runs off pci and a sound card 2, cause this poxy computer i have has neither.. get this the mother board supports agp but doesnt even have 1 of them slots, ya's help would be much appreciated :D

Give us some more details with your specs.

If you are looking to upgrade, best bet is to start off by getting a new mATX motherboard.

I cannot in good conscience recommend a card for a system that old, there is not really any decent PCI graphics cards. If it supports AGP then there must be an AGP slot. Really the whole machine is to old to be of much use, except as a file server or word processor. Spending anything on it is just a waste of money IMHO.

 

I would recommend a cheap upgrade, start saving your pennies. :)
