Charcoal 41 Posted September 13, 2010 (edited) I have an eeePC 1005P, which is great. And it is basically the same as the Samsung you've listed in price and components. Except mine gets a little more battery life. It's a great little netbook, as long as you don't ask too much from it. Having said that when you have Word, Chrome (with a few tabs) and a PDF or two open, it works great. Edited September 13, 2010 by Charcoal

I think a 10inch will be just what I need and the 10hrs of power is just great. So am I right in that these small pc's do not have WiFi ? I will be using my little 3 usb modem thingy anyway but WiFi would be handy. So does Wireless LAN 802.11bg/n* work just like WiFi ? Like could sit at my local cafe and hook up to there wiFi using the Wireless LAN ? sorry for the dumb ass questions. thx
Charcoal 41 Posted September 13, 2010 These small netbooks are designed around being connected to the internet all the time. To this end, I don't think there's been one that hasn't had wifi. Basically any one you purchase right now should have wireless b/g/n, which will connect to any wireless network you have access to, providing you're in range. And yes, wireless basically works the same as your 3 wireless modem will, except it's all internal and the functionality to connect is in windows already. mohawk 18 Posted September 13, 2010 I just bought a ASUS eeePC 1005P Pro last Friday from Online Computer for $438. Similiar specs as the Sammy but Online Computer upgraded it to 2GB of RAM free which is always good and even better value for money.
