Mostly jealous that you can throw $5500+ at a PC... :--P

With that kind of cash to spend on computer gear I would have grabbed an extra 4 TB of storage for my media server; built a new, fully AMD-based desktop, got a new monitor and bought one of the new Dell XPS 14" notebooks.

... but that's me :--].

Sweet rig, man. Poast benchmarks when it's all assembled!

10 bucks says it doesn't beat mine in anything other than vantage and 3dm06.

Don't need another card, might get one though, major reason for the build was the case

nice build similar to mine.

i would have bought 460's instead of 470's if i where u.

love my hex, what cooling are you going to use?

the stock hsf is huge and does a good job, dont upgrade it until you wanna get wet thats my advice.

these 980's run cool anyway.

I'm jealous that you've got that amount to throw on a computer and that case. I've been eyeing that Level 10 case since it first came out. I would have gone with a better graphics card though man.

I was just always in awe of the case , as for graphics card didn't go with the 480 cause the way I have read about it, it seems more like an OC sort of card, I usually stick to stock settings, as for cooling using stock fans would be doing liquid but there has been problems with size and installation, Ty for all your input guys, haven't been active for a while but gunna be more over next few months

Also, should I use my 5.1 speakers or my head set mostly?

Any one have an idea on quality of the megalodon? Seems great from reveiws

Depends on what you're doing.

Most people swear by their headsets for gaming while others prefer speakers.

It really comes down to preference.

Also, the GTX480 would have still been a better choice than the 470, especially because you aren't considering OCing.

+1 to nukejocky

You'll have to try the headset to see if its as good as your speakers, its a lot about personal preference. I think a speaker set if correctly positioned and loud enough might be better but I don't have any experience with surround headphones - so if you or anyone else could post your impressions I'd be really interested to know.

ive got a set of logitech x530s and there great (and very LOUD) and also have a headset i use the headset becuase im in a area that louad noise isnt the best idea (a study area)

but i really want to get a good pair of headphones (with 3.5mm jack) and add a mic to them...that way i can use them for game and listening to music and use them when i do a gig at my friends place..

any why the OP didnt go with the 480 (or 480s) i have no idea...choice...

So, upgrades for future, either 2nd 470 or a 480

Will probably use head set but have speakers ready for music
