Boxing Day Test

Recommended Posts

Hughes should have been run out then.

Australia look quite nervous again.

Ponting is nicking them again. He wasn't handling them in Perth, it's hard to see how he's going to do any better with a gammy finger.

watching the test is like watching Titanic.....

I already know how it's gonna end.

;)

With this rain, the Pommies might have the problems with the pitch that we are having.

the pommies are fairly used to rain.......unless global warning has put 'em out of whack.

I just watched the "Lemmy" movie....there's still life in the old fella - you gotta love him, what a career!

Even though he's useless, I'm glad Ponting didn't pull out.

That would mean he'd dodge the bullet. But by the looks of things now, Australia is farked once again and he's right in the thick of the mess.

Problem is of course, to get any action on the matter, Australia has to lose a game which means Ashes lost automatically.

Hopefully Clarke will do something useful, at least that'll help put Ponting's poor performance into perspective a bit better.

Aussie supporters at the MCG must feel like absolute morons right about now.

8/77.

Clarke's 20 is the best score. Pathetic is too kind to descibe this performance.

I was wondering if that was any good.

I've got it here somewhere......

All out 98.

Can we get 8 runs, and at least reach some kind of milestone?

Apparently, no. Edited by Virtuoso

About 2.5 hours batting ahead today for England.

If the pitch has anything at all to do with our poor form, then they should end up something like 6/100.

But the more likely scenario is probably 2/120.

I have to say, from what I can see, the pitch doesn't look that bad to me.

The batting looked particularly bad rather than the bowling looking particularly good.

The curator swapped pitches last week because the one he was working on looked dodgy.

Just watching Warnie whacking Hugh Jackman in the nuts!
