Post Your Latest Real Life Purchase!

Recommended Posts

I've had it for about 4 hours now and am getting it ready to root, I may well ditch my iPhone for this one, I didn't have much love for the SII but this new one is pretty fantastic so far. I'll give it a hard workout on the weekend, it has the best screen of any phone I've ever seen.

Not so much a real life purchase. But I just put $100 behind this Kickstarter project that I really want to happen. Though with only 2 days to get 5 grand, I'm not sure it will.

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/135145...nd-the-olympian

And it will net me a DVD and a signed Donny Shankle t shirt so that's real life (and also AWESOME)

And thanks to the power of (shudder) Reddit, this is now fully funded!

Nice! I've got the full Season 8 in TPB.

Starts off promisingly, then gets really lost in the middle, then comes back in the last handful of issues (of the 40-issue run...that book of yours is pretty solid. Cool to see a return to the 'Fray' timeline, too!)

Season 9's gone a bit wonky in issues 7-10, too.

"Angel & Faith" is kicking serious arse though. Loving it more than 'Buffy' at the moment.

I read up to nearly the end of Season 8 in scans (and bought a couple of issues for like $10 from the newsagent's like a fool). Then I inadvertently read a huge spoiler and didn't have the heart to keep reading.

Annoyingly, the next volume comes out months away, so I won't be reading anything new til then. And I don't want to buy the smaller TPBs because they won't match my hardcover.

I have barely heard of Angel and Faith, but I'll likely get onto it at some point. I have quite enjoyed some of the other Angel comics, should probably buy them one day as well.

Really? I love my SII and I was very excited about the SIII until I found out it had been designed by lawyers and it's not available in black.

Samsung changed the blue colour to a very dark version (which is almost black, kinda like the Galaxy Note). The design looks a fuck load better in real life than it does in pictures. The only part that shits me is the glossy cover, but that was soon dealt with when I put a fancy case on it.

I'm yet to have my SGSIII run out of juice during the day. Battery life is fantastic. Just turn off the bullshit S-Voice features which constantly listen out for your commands.

Angel & Faith runs pretty much in the same timeline as Buffy S9...both post-season 8...but don't start reading it unless you've finished Buffy S8, as it pretty much hinges on the end of that season (probably that exact thing that got spoilered). :/

Finally bought a 26 inch tire for my bike. It's a sexy white walled cruiser tire, apparently. Put that and a new tube on, and took the front brakes off, cos I'm a reckless cunt.

Horrendously evil. I decided, like the naiive fool I was, to do tabata burpees, having never done a burpee before. 20 seconds 'sprint' 10 seconds rest, for four minutes, of one of the most brutal bodyweight/cardio exercises there is. I was breathing like an 80 year old smoker, and I felt it for about a week.

Have not done them since.

Hah yeah i know. Whats even more fucked up is that im going to be doing them voluntarilly. Even my trainer says their evil and he wont ask me to do them. So im going to do them at home at night.

The kettle weights will be for between sets.

What are you going to do, kettlebell swings or something? You can do a lot with them, but I've never used them.

Swings, walking, and squats. 12 reps of them with the 16's really do work you over.

PCCG; $79.

Dust isn't much of a prob for me... I wet-dust my desk regularly and have a handful of air filters dotted around my office, running 24/7. ;)
